There are no stairs into my home.
The cheerful Guest Bedroom with views to a private garden outlook has a comfortable Single bed that is shown in photographs.
Please be mindful that whilst there are photos of various styles of linen on the bed that there is only 1 Guest bedroom for one person. It's to give an idea what linen design the bed may have on it during your stay!
All bed linen, including duvet inner, are regularly washed in the interests of best hygiene practices.
A NZ made armchair is in the Guest room for your comfort together with a Double sized wardrobe to hang your clothes in.
Sunny kitchen and separate lounge/ dining room with views across to Mt Hobson which is named after Captain William Hobson NZ's first Governor.
Please communicate prior to booking a reservation if you will be requiring to cook meals in the kitchen in addition to Airbnb standard breakfast provisions or if you have any specific dietary requirement.
The fridge/ freezer is generally available for some perishable
goods during your stay if required so please mention this in your communications.
The shower and bathroom is a separate room from the toilet.
I do have HOT water that is set in accordance with New Zealand Regulation standards and it lasts longer than 15 minutes - most unfortunately one of my guests has Lost the Communication in Translation...
Washing machine use is strictly by arrangement.
Car Parking, which is undercover, may be available OFF street by negotiation so please send a message and ask if this is required.
There is FREE Car parking on the street.
Please be mindful that the doorways are less than the required 32inches for those who may be differently enabled and have mobility aids who are seeking accommodation.

It is safer and better to stay and rest overnight in Auckland than to travel straight after a flight, or travel a long distance overnight to catch an early morning flight or to greet friends and family who are flying from the nearby Auckland International Airport or Domestic terminal.

Parnell outdoor Swimming pools are a quick direct bus ride to and from.
They are open over the summer months for our relaxation & health.
Olympic indoor Swimming Pool is in Newmarket and the Tepid Baths are in the CBD downtown, both are open year round and also have gyms.
Mission Bay and St Heliers beaches are on the nearby waterfront
Takapuna beach is on the North Shore and there are buses that travel that way directly from Newmarket.
Piha and Auckland's West Coast beaches are also within reach by vehicle.

Do NOT try touch OR pat the Lambs as they must bond with there Ewe mum's or the ewe's may disown them and then the lambs may die, Cows are protective of there young babies to and may attack if you try touch there young calves.

Remuera is very close & quick to travel to and from centrally located venues, conference centres, hospitals and other attractions unlike some suburbs in Auckland so please look at a map and do your homework why my place may be a better Airbnb to stay in!!
My home is very close to supermarkets.
Those planning to book accommodation should be made aware Newmarket no longer has 277 Westfield Shopping complex or a supermarket.
New World Supermarket is less than 5 minutes walk away in Remuera (open 7am to 11pm - Remuera people think of supermarket staff's need for sleep zzzz & have the best Community Christmas Party here!) & Countdown at nearby Greenlane (open 6am to midnight) so please be mindful of that when choosing which location you would like to stay in.
Wifi is available at Remuera Library, banks & cafes etc
Remuera has a variety of Restaurants, Cafes, Bars, Shops, banks, library and other services.
Shops include Remuera Fisheries for the best Fish and Chips, Brown's, Hai, Redcurrant, Mikko, Hedgerow, Mainly Toys, Paper Plus, Dove Hospice shop and more. See my Guidebook
Heritage Building Churches of various denominations dating back to the early 1800's include St Michaels, St Lukes, St Marks, Somervell, St Adians, St John's Theological College - note the names of Saints.
St Mark's Church has the Gravestones of many notable locals who helped establish Newmarket, Remuera, Auckland in the 1800's, including James Dilworth who gifted much to the community and who Dilworth School & Dilworth Ave is named after.
He once owned Mount Hobson.
You can see familiar names of those who have streets/ roads named after them.
It is the 50th year anniversary of the desecration of St Marks Churchgrounds cemetery this year. Those who are at rest, or maybe turning in their graves, are buried in and around the whole of the Church grounds where it's a recognized Historic Place that was protected for the benefit of all the people of NZ, not just current Church attendees or clergy
Purewa Cemetery where many earlier settlers are buried including Kate Dowd, Edward Laurie, Thomas Cotter who lived in the Remuera area.
"Trumps" signage is a feature that some take delight in seeing despite the fact it's nothing to do with the American of the same name.
Excellent Public Transport Services and other transport providers like UBER are within a few minutes walk in Central Remuera.
These attractions, beaches and other shopping centres are all within 10-20 minutes by car, train or bus and some of these places are a pleasant walk to at one's leisure to explore.
My place is easily accessible to and only 5 minutes to main motorways north and south, and a short walk to supermarkets and local features.
