A wonderful place to spend 3 nights on the edge of the New Forest. Fabulous accommodation. Private, quiet and superb barn which was really well appointed with great facilities including a separate spa room solely for our use. Chris was a lovely host, great communication before, during and after our stay.

Loved it at the barn. Very relaxed and beautiful surroundings. Hope to go back soon.

We had a gorgeous stay at Shuttaford Farm. There are so many lovely touches in the barn that you feel right at home, but it all feels very special and thoughtful. Fran was a terrific host - responsive and friendly, and even leant me a spare pair of walking boots when I realised I’d left mine at home! The surrounding area is just stunning - highly recommend a walk through Hembury Woods. Highly recommended for a family trip.

We had a beautiful stay at Sara and Rob’s idyllic place - what a find! So peaceful but plenty of things to do and the kids were delighted with being able to feed the animals and run free. Only regret is not staying longer! Thanks so much to you both.

Jenny & Lisa both responded really quickly to messages and proactively sent really useful extra info on how to get there so we arrived stress free! Lovely barn conversion in beautiful countryside. Very clean & tidy throughout & as described. Perfect base for us to explore nearby attractions. Excellent local & wider recommendations in the info book with OS Map for walks if needed. Myself and a few friends were looking to escape and have a private beautiful place for a relaxing new year break and the barn was exactly this! We felt at home straight away. The barn is stunning - it’s somebody’s home with books, artwork, rugs, lots of life. Once you’re settled you won’t want to leave- we didn’t!

i had a lovely serene stay by myself in the barn. Wonderful walking, views, twinkly night skies and I even saw a barn owl swoop just infront of me at twilight. The barn is equipped so well, has everything you could possibly need, and i loved having a fire every evening. So cosy. I will be back. Thank you! x

A lovely spot with gorgeous views and beautiful blossoms. David was kind and friendly and very helpful. Thank you for the items left for us to enjoy during our stay. My son and dog especially loved the outside area. The property was close to Bath, Bradford on Avon and Bristol where we wanted to visit and a short drive away from local pubs and a coop. Would highly recommend.

This is a beautifully renovated old barn with stylish interior and everything you need (including for proper cooking!).. The location is great with really good pubs within walking distance.Highly recommendable!

We wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely cottage and pretty country location. The garden was ideal for a dog as it was safely fenced around. My dog was incredibly happy sniffing around the area when we were outside sitting at the garden table. We didn't have time to use the Jacuzzi although it looked very inviting. Would recommend to other dog owners or walkers alike!

We had a wonderful weekend here, the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. The space was so peaceful and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. we would definitely return!

Beautiful place to stay! Lovely enclosed garden for my two dogs to wonder around. Hot tub was lovely once we got the hang of it! Nice, clean and spacious inside. We went for a long walk round the area. Also drove to a beach about 40 mins away. Thank you again!

Die Unterlunft war kleiner als erwartet, aber dennoch makellos sauber, mit Allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, wir haben darin super geschlafen. Alles da, was man in einer Küche so brauchen könnte… und mit kleinen Willkommensgeschenken… das hat uns sehr gefreut. Der Garten sieht zauberhaft aus. Trotz Hauptstraße ist es nicht zu laut. Sam und Adrian sind entzückend, sehr nett und immer gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder. 100% Empfehlung. 👍🏻

A wonderful spot in south Dorset, central in the Isle of Purbeck and convenient for visiting all the lovely and varied surrounding landscapes. Keith welcomed us warmly and enthusiastically with plenty of trip tips, plus a delicious cream tea and bottle of bubbly to set things off on the right foot. The Little Thatch was very cozy and beautifully restored, much it seems due to Keith's impressive handiwork, and brightened by his arts-and-craft work. We enjoyed mingling with the resident fowl (they seem to love the little pond next to the cottage) and made acquaintance of the peacock and peahen. Plenty of deer also to be seen on the broader site. The location is well off the main road surrounded by woodland at the foot of the Purbeck ridge. It is wonderfully peaceful and comfortable. Can recommend whole-heartedly.

Glad to have returned we came back to Halamaling for rare in this day solitude and peace and quiet. Liz‘s place has this in abundance spotlessly clean. Recommended. Ian & Julie

Catherine was a fantastic host and we had a wonderful stay at the property. The views were absolutely stunning. We enjoyed walking around the local area including Cheddar village, Cheddar Gorge and the reservoir. The barn itself had everything we needed and it was very clean and tidy. Just returned from a long weekend, staying at The Barn at Rotherwood. We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) and had a great time. The Barn was perfect for us - really comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Debbie was very responsive and left us a really generous welcome hamper for our arrival - thank you Debbie! It was perfectly situated, on the edge of Itchenor, and was easy to get to Chichester, Bosham and the Witterings from there. We would recommend staying here!

Larissa's place is wonderful and provided the perfect space for our needs. The garden is HUGE and access to the hot tub was a bonus too. The accommodation was well appointed with everything we needed and very homely. We had a very warm welcome and I would highly recommend this place to others.

We had a lovely few days at The Long Barn. The space is really tranquil and light. We had all weathers so often the case in Cornwall, got to use the wood burner which was wonderful on the very wet day and then sat in the sunny courtyard for breakfast the next morning! It was warm and welcoming, the wifi was really quick which was a life saver with teenagers! We got to explore the area and really appreciated the list of things to do Sarah sent out when we booked. A beautiful place to stay. Stunning beams in the bedroom, very well restored, spotless modern bathroom with infa red sauna and electric shower. Lots of wildlife can be heard at night. Fantastic wood burner with under floor heating downstairs. Easy walk to Exford. Great village shop with all you need and 2 pubs. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps which was an 8 mile round trip but a great excursion in glorious late February sunshine. Lovely view from the garden at the pub at Tarr Steps and the food was good too. We love Exmoor as it is an unspoilt gem with so much peace and nature to surround yourself in. Everyone you meet is friendly which also helps. Photos of this place do not do it justice!

A lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights - nothing really to do in the area so more for if you’re wanting to get away from it all. Very well equipped and clean. Excellent host, really friendly and great communication. Would definitely stay again if we were to travel back to the area. We were staying for a wedding at treetop escapes - very close to the venue

Great place for a small group. We were four of us and were quite comfortable for the short stay we planned. Judy was a great host and the instructions she gave were spot on!

Beautiful barn on a beautiful property with everything you might need, and with lovely accessible strolls around the perimeter of the farm, with fantastic views. Hosts were charming and hospitable, and the location for ease of access to the stunning Devon coast was second to none. Definitely one for a return visit.

What a beautiful place to stay! The attention to detail was amazing and it had all the possible amenities you could need. Diewertje was incredibly responsive and even left a little gift for our 1 year old which was extremely kind. We really enjoyed using the log burner on some cold and windy evenings. The location is also great for exploring the local area. We would not hesitate to stay again!
