We walked from the Inverness train station in about 10 minutes (with luggage and a kid), but a taxi would be about 3 minutes. The lockbox was no problem but the door itself was kinda tricky as we don’t have those type of locks in the US. We actually rang the Ring doorbell and Neil answered straight away and patiently guided us how to open door, after that all was very smooth, the shower had great water pressure and the place was squeaky clean. Very happy with everything and wished our stay was actually longer… overall I recommend this place!

Pictures of the view from the main living room/dining room was what drew me to the property and the reality did not disappoint. The house was very homely, comfortable and Isabella was friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated that there was plenty of comfortable seating for the number of people the house can accommodate to sleep. The dishwasher did not work during our visit which was an inconvenience as we were a large family group who cooked regularly during our visit, so clearing up took significantly more time than we would have liked, but once Isabella was made aware, she did not hesitate to get it seen to as soon as possible. Unfortunately it could not be repaired during our visit but I cannot fault Isabella's reponse to the situation, it was just unfortunate. I would definitely recommend the property; it is clear a lot of thought has gone into the property to make it as comfortable as possible for guest. Thank you.

Carol's place was comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay easy and nice. The location was great and our kids loved having the pool and playground right out front. We would definitely stay again if we go back to the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s caravan. The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Jennifer was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and always happy to help. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

The caravan offered a perfect base for visiting the area and is situated in the quiet part of the site. It’s a nice site, with amenities. West Lodge is a lovely little house in beautiful peaceful countryside. Very well kept property with everything in place for your comfort and make you feel at home. The pool is a fantastic bonus to go and relax after I hard days work. We would highly recommend the experience. Next time.....stay longer 😉

Stayed with Elizabeth for a couple of days due to a hospital appointment in Inverness. Elizabeth's place was perfect! just 20 minutes from Inverness centre, but super peaceful in gorgeous grounds...with an amazing collection of rare breed chickens and geece and Bengal kittens. Elizabeth clearly wants her guests to have the best stay and goes above and beyond to make that happen. Certain we will be back 😊

Fantastic location as base to explore the Cairngorms. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and supermarket in the town main street. Lovely caravan with everything you'd need for a family holiday. 5 stars overall!

Spent a great week here with family, and we all felt at home. The property feels nice and secluded but is only a 10 minute drive from everything you need. loads of options for days out with or without kids and walks within reasonable driving distance. Bea was always easy to contact and very nice to communicate with if needed. highly recommend

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful family home,. The peace and quiet was amazing as was the nature we were surrounded in. Your neighbours were so friendly too. Also thank you for also allowing us to stay for so long. It was perfect for our adventures. Can’t recommend enough.

Wonderful caravan, with everything we needed. Beautfiul scenery looking out over a field with cows and calves in. Location was ideal for our family to explore the area. The kids climbed their first munro, they loved the local pump track and woods and had an amazing day at Landmark!

We found the location and facilities of Lisa and Martins cottage to be superb. The cozy cottage is within walking distance to all of the local shops, pubs and restaurants but is still very quiet. We had delicious meals at the Clachan Grill and Balmoral Arms. Cottage is stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean with a beautiful garden area which the dogs loved. We found everything we needed for a great stay, Martin gave us some really useful tips on things to do and see in the area. Loved it here, the scenery in and around Ballater is breath taking ! Wonderful hosts, would recommend this cottage to anyone. Would book again !
