This is my second time staying here and I’m already planning my return. This is the most beautiful and peaceful place imaginable. Everything about the interior is perfectly appointed. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway but also so close to many cultural attractions. The farm shops nearby serve delicious food too. Highly recommend for anyone considering this place!

Super logement , cocooning comme nous le souhaitions! Accès à Édimbourg relativement rapide. Attention aux instructions d’entrée, car le tri sélectif en Écosse n’est pas le même que le nôtre en France .. beaucoup plus poussé ce qui est un bon point pour l’environnement . J’ai fais par réflexe comme en France ce qui m’a value à juste titre un message D’Ali . Si je devais repartir en Écosse sans hésitation je reprendrais le même logement .. le SPA avec vue c’est un bonheur!

A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

We had a lovely few days, staying at Appletree Cottage, with our two grandchildren aged 6 and 3. The cottage was very comfy and well equipped, and ideally suited our needs. Good location for many attractions such as Blair Drummond Safari Park, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We were lucky to have good weather so the excellent play area and hot tub were much enjoyed each day. Would definitely recommend booking.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pentland Pod. The pod was very clean and well equipped. Hazel and Jim are fabulous hosts. It felt like staying with family friends. They made sure to give us lots of recommendations of things to visit in the area. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back in the future.

Lovely hosts, they were always quick to respond to any questions I had. It was a quiet and cosy place to stay which stayed warm despite us staying in winter. Would recommend to others.

Thank you for a beautiful stay!. Myself and 2 friends were celebrating turning 40. The house was stunning, and beautifully cared for. Everything we needed was at hand and if we had needed anything Emily was just a door knock away which was great to know. This little gem makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere taking some much needed time away.

Loved every minute of staying at pinewood. So peaceful everything was very clean would recommend this place to any couple that’s wanting a few nights get away. The hot tub made it perfect🙏🏼 Thank you very much and we will hopefully be back again very soon :)

Had a busy week packed lots in from dining out to the Kelpies, Falkirk wheel and the National portrait gallery. The house was cozy, near local amenities, parking was a bit of a squeeze but doable.

We needed to visit a family member for a few days who lives a 2 minute walk from Sue and Grant’s cottage so it was an ideal location for us in addition to only being a 15 minute walk into the city centre. I was a little concerned about noise from The Meadows but because of the secondary glazing in the cottage we heard very little. The cottage is as it’s described, clean and warm. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh and we hope to be back soon.

An outstanding place to stay would highly recommend to anyone who’s eager to get away and relax.

We loved it here! The cottage was really cosy and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the recommended walks around the estate as well. Only around fifteen minutes from Edinburgh city centre but still so peaceful and really felt that we were still out in the countryside! Loads of space for us and for our dog which was great. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at Sarah’s place. There was great communication from the start, Sarah came to meet us on arrival to let us in and show us around. We were given in depth instructions on how to use everything and how to adjust the heating if needed, there was also a beautiful stove fire in the living area but we did not need to use this. The cottage is very homely with some lovely features and garden The bed was very comfortable with lovely clean linen and lots of towels provided. Sarah was a great host, very friendly and welcoming, recommendations for local take aways were also given. All in all, a wonderful stay!!! The cake was also delicious! Thank you!!!!!!!

Tigh Nam Muc is a beautifully decorated cottage with all the required amenities and very comfortable beds. It is ideal for trips into Edinburgh...would recommend the park and ride as parking fairly limited in the city centre. We enjoyed Portobello, the National Museum of Scotland, Dalkeith Country Park and Edinburgh zoo. Although not far from Edinburgh, it felt peaceful and quiet. Ideal for families like ours (toddler and a 4 month old!) Sue was very responsive and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Everything was what we had hoped for. As with many older homes, there was hot water and water pressure issues, but nothing we couldn't work around. The beds were pure delight, as were the surroundings. What a beautiful location. Thank you for sharing it with us. It will always be a fond memory for us.

Very lovely cottage in beautiful countryside, stunning views from the garden. Cosy, lots of character, attractive contemporary interior, good bathroom and en-suite loo. We didn’t see much of the hosts (family wedding, hectic itinerary) however pre-arrival communications were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Eine schöne Wohnung, gut gelegen, angenehme Umgebung. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, sauberes Bad. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden wiederkommen.

We found this flat to be very comfortable and clean. It’s a light and airy one story flat, very quiet, great amenities. We enjoyed the art work and overall decor, as well as the interesting book collection. Plus the beds are really comfy! The neighborhood itself is ok, a few decent restaurants, close to busses. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Booked this for my dad, mum, aunty and uncle for their adventure in Scotland and they said it was very lovely lace to stay, comfortable, pretty, and the host was lovely.

The Boathouse is a fantastic getaway. Sitting on the deck watching the sunrise in the morning and seeing the stars at night was a wonderful experience. A lovely little kitchen which everything is provided. Such a wonderful place and I will have lovely memories! Thanks Gill and your team.
