The Old Dairy, cottage on Highland Farm

As the name suggests this cottage was previously used as dairy on the family farm in years gone by. The house was built in the 1850's, the first house on the farm as it is now. The cottage was also known as Grieves House and was home to the Manager of Dalmore Distillery years and years ago. We live on a family farm and there is always somebody nearby for assistance during your stay. Dalmore Farm is in a quiet location on the edge of Alness, a busy town which in 2018 won the title of Best High Street in Scotland. Set on the shore of the Cromarty Firth, this makes an ideal base for exploring Easter Ross and the Northern Highlands. Alness town centre is approx 10 - 15 walk Morrisons and Lidl are approx 5 minute walk

It was refurbished recently and has underfloor heating and a woodburning stove in the sitting room. It is a perfect place for family and friends to relax. Two nights or more recommended - you will regret it if you don't! Our Orchard Room looks out over our small orchard (figs, plums, apples, pears and cherries, plus grapes in our greenhouse). The Orchard Room offers a kingsize bed without a footboard (better for tall guests!). The spacious Meadow Room (single bed plus breakfast table and vintage sofa) is decorated with original watercolours mainly by Vee and her family. The Black Isle has so much to offer. A charming and spacious cottage with direct beach access and sensational views over the Moray Firth. Filled with art and antiques this comfortable and much loved home from home is an ideal base from which to explore Nairn and the surrounding area. Whether you want to soak up the sea views from a deck chair at the backdoor, with a coffee or a glass of wine, dash into the sea for a swim before a relaxing hot bath, or simply stroll along the beach, we hope you will love it here as much as we do.

The Highland Capital of Inverness is only 20 minutes away.

The Coach House at Manse House

Make some memories at this unique and friendly place. Originally the Coach House of the 18th century listed Manse House, the property was sympathetically converted in 2004. The property lies in the gardens of the Manse in central Tain. It has great access to the main visitor attractions of the Eastern Highlands and makes a great place to relax or to use as a comfortable spot from which to explore the Highlands. Pets are welcome.
