What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

There are three reasons to book the place location, location and location. It's the heart of Gangtok & is close to every possible amenities & attractions. Apart from the initial wrong location glitch then we arrived, rest all went smooth. If you are a light sleeper then you'll find the hustle of MG Marg distressing. We dearly missed fully functional kitchen. But all this is made for by the location of the house.

The property is located in heart of Gangtok's upscale and peaceful suburb where you can take a relaxed evening stroll. There are few shops nearby which fulfills all basic daily requirements. There is a local taxi stand infront of the property which makes it easily accessible. It was exactly as described. There is lot of space which made my stay comfortable. Ashish the host is always forthcoming and relaxed. I was there with my wife and two year old infant, we didn't face any issues whatsoever. I would personally recommend this property for a relaxed, lesisure and hassle-free stay.

A big thumbs up for this family who are running such a beautiful, well maintained and cozy AirBnB in the heart of Gangtok. Being about 1 km from MG Marg, you are away from the hustle of the touristy road yet closeby. Bunch of local shops next door help you with daily needs. Above all, Nima, her kids, her mom and aunts are always prompt and proactive to make your stay comfortable. The home made food was delicious. The kids were the ones to receive us and they did a fabulous job at such a young age in helping us check in with our almost a dozen bags, and later on we're always on call to help us with anything. The WiFi was not working due to bad weather, but the family was prompt to get it fixed soon. Overall, a wonderful place to stay in Gangtok. We would love to stay again when we visit Gangtok.

I had a wonderful stay at this homestay, even though it was just for one night. The place was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The host was friendly and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed. The location was peaceful and perfect for a short getaway. Highly recommended – I’d love to come back for a longer stay next time!

Had a really comfortable stay. The place was clean and spacious. The host was kind, responsive, and super helpful throughout. The only slight downside was the location—it is good but I'd rate it 4/5. That said, everything else more than made up for it. Would definitely recommend!

Location was the best thing. Just accross the Start of the MGRoad. You could see both serene views of the valley and hustle bustle of MG road. ❤️ Property was huge, clean well maintained. We were family of Four, But it can easily host more people than that. We absolutely loved our stay!!🤩 Nina was amazing host. Always very responsive. The caretaker, Eljina was also very well mannered and she came to pick us up from our drop point on the other side of the road as we were new and had absolutely no idea about the area. This property is an oasis of calm and luxury while being easily accessible. Mr Tsewang and Mrs Michele are avuncular, amiable and treated me like a family member. This charming couple is easily one of the best hosts. With their stories and anecdotes compiled from a wealth of experience living in different parts of the world, daily breakfast with them was a highlight of my trip. It was a privilege to be able to share some parts of their lives via insightful conversations and I will treasure these memories. Mr Tenzing is hospitable to a fault and served up excellent food daily. The house has minute touches that elevates your stay with the kind of views guaranteed to leave you awestruck. Everything is squeaky clean and you are provided with all the sundries while being next to a well appointed grocery store. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone yearning for a cozy and insightful stay in the Himalayas. There are no better hosts than Mr and Mrs Topden.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung hat alles was man benötigt. Sie ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Tshegyal war immer erreichbar und hat uns bei Fragen geholfen. Die Unterkunft liegt in ruhiger Lage, ein bisschen entfernt vom Zentrum. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

We stayed there for three days and it was very peaceful and relaxing for us. The interior including the lighting was very perfect and aesthetic. They welcomed in a traditional manner. The Home stay was also very close to the taxi stand for better communication. We will be pleased to visit again in future.

We had a comfortable time at this place. The view of Kanchenjunga was beautiful from there. The room is exactly as described and in a good locality. The host was very friendly and greeted us with a Darjeeling tea every morning and set up campfire at night whenever requested. It's a good area and i recommend choosing this place to stay.

It was lovely, I booked it for a family short vacation. Well equipped, spacious, clutter free, and clean. It is the best for family or big groups. Location is safe and reachable for services like zomato etc. Host is friendly and responsive, I got all the details proactively. Overall Positive from all POVs.

Home Away From Home: We had an unforgettable five day stay at this charming place. The host was warm, welcoming and always ready to help on need. The room was spotless, cozy, and full of character with lovely wooden interiors that added to the homely vibe with required kitchen appliances. This is hands down one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in - its unbeatable location near Darjeeling’s vibrant local markets and shopping. This place truly offers the comforts of home, with a local market experience that adds color and culture to your stay. Words might fall short, but this place truly felt like a HOME away from HOME.

The best stay I ever had, the property is magnificent as the host himself. It's standing at the heart of mg marg, n has all the amenities required for a great stay. Highly recommended for the price u ll be paying, worth every penny😀

The place was good from inside. The look of the building from outside may not seem appealing as it's an old apartment, perhaps from 1930s. But, the house is beautifully decorated in the inside and offers an amazing view of the Kanchenjunga from every room. We had the entire place to ourselves, so it offers privacy. Hemanto, the caretaker was very responsive and friendly. He was always available for all our queries and everything we needed. I can't really thank Marina, the helper, enough. She helped us with the chores. She kept the house squeaky clean. I traveled with three senior citizens, one of them couldn't travel most of the days and stayed in, Marina heated and served her the food we kept and stayed till she ate. There are a few cons: - There are forty steep stairs to climb. This should be highlighted instead of just mentioning in a sentence in the long description. - The bathroom ceiling in the first bedroom is broken and the bathroom stinks.
