We had an amazing holiday at The Timber House! The place is in a great spot to explore both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Gordon and Sarah were super helpful right from check-in and gave us great tips for local places to visit. Gordon even went above and beyond and planned a lovely trip for us to Stonehaven, taking us through scenic back roads and recommending the perfect lunch spot. We really appreciated their kindness and hospitality. The house is easy to get to from the motorway but still feels really private and peaceful. Thanks so much, Gordon and Sarah, for making our holiday so special — we’ll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay. The place is spotlessly clean, beds and sofas very comfortable, and has everything you would need. Claire is a kind host - she took the time to send some tailored recommendations of things to do, which I hugely appreciated, and left us some Easter goodies to enjoy. The surroundings are very peaceful, we enjoyed waking up to views of sheep eating their breakfast in the field and it’s a great place to unwind in the outdoor hot tub. Very easy to drive towards Loch Lomond and beyond, and also accessible to Glasgow airport. Highly recommend staying here.

Great quiet location right by the shores of the Loch. Balloch easily accessible by local bus right near the property.

Great house in a beautiful location. The size of the rooms was perfect for our group. The hot tub was ready for us arriving and the fridge was generously stocked with complimentary drinks! The hosts were very prompt and helpful with their responses to our messages. Thank you for a great weekend!

Fantastic house - really comfortable and well located. The location is great right beside the shop. We also enjoyed using the leisure club, the claghsn inn and Skoosh. Easy access to the quieter side of Loch Lomond was ideal. Would definitely recommend.

Steven was an outstanding host. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. He was very welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We truly appreciated his attention to detail and warm hospitality. Highly recommend staying with Steven — we would be happy to return!

We were a family of 9 (4 adults and 5 children), so not easy to find accommodation for all of us but Martin's place was perfect. Good location, private and with all the needed space and facilities. Not sure about using the house with different households as it seems the house may also be rented by room instead of all the place. The kitchen was clean and had loads of kitchens utensils, glassware, etc etc. The oven needs a bit of deep cleaning but still usable. The fridge and freezer are small for big families but there supermarkets near by so no need to overstock. We had a probem and Martin sorted it asap. Overall it was a great place and we would definitely recomend and stay again.

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

Had an excellent stay here for my sisters 40th birthday. Great location and very close to Balloch for food, drinks and a walk. Would definitely come back.

We had a brilliant stay at Claire’s lodge at Cameron House. Location was spot-on, and the kids loved all the activities that were available to them, especially the swimming pool, and the park. Lodge was a perfect size for a small family, and Claire was excellent in the lead-up, during, and after our stay, answering any questions and offering local recommendations, and various discounts etc. We will definitely be back!

Andrea was amazing, warm welcome right from the check in and gave an informative house tour. The house was beautiful even with the pictures it was just even better in person from the pond to even a view of the loch. Amazing host with amazing marshmallows and fire place, will defo be returning for the summer 🫶🏻🫶🏻

What a beautiful place to stay in the middle of the hills nice and quiet and the hot tub was a family favourite thanks to Alexander and all his family for making us so welcome 5 stars

This is a gorgeous lodge to book. It is perfect for 2 couples to stay overnight with a separate lodge for each. The fire hut is a great place to relax and stay warm. The games room is fun. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating with great communication. The rooms were stunning and clean. There are massage chairs in each lodge which were amazing. The lodges are well equipped, there was an air fryer and coffee machine and Bluetooth speaker. I would highly recommend this place and would love to rebook in the future.

Little bit hard to find, other than cannot fault the place. Good value for money with all the extra touches, including bag of marshmallows for the fire pit. Thought of everything.

A perfect stay. We spent the weekend here and it was everything and more from the listing. The cabin was beautiful and cosy and was just what was needed for a quiet few days away. The hot tub was a dream especially in the cold weather and snow. Lynda was a great host. I would recommend this to friends and family; we would look at coming back in the future.

The cabin was lovely, candles were lit for us arriving and candle burner was on too - relaxing sounds on the tv too - i thought was cute and a nice touch. Was nice and cosey for us arriving. Hot tub was ready. I struggled to get onto the WiFi but i think i was connecting to the wrong one, got there in the end as Erin was on hand to assist. Hot tub was great, my son loved it as did i. It was good that you could watch Netflix and all the usual aswell as play board games if you wish, we brought our own but will use on our next visit and will definitely be back. Has everything you need, shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer, toaster microwave fridge freezer and halogen oven which i used to cook our pizza. I do think an air fryer would be a good asset as long as if was clwan by guests acted each use. I genuinely don’t have anything negative to say which is unlike me lol. The bed was soooooo soooooo comfortable too - has the best night sleep and loved the fairy lights on the bed x
