Edinburgh and Newcastle are an hour away by car or train, the coast is a 15 minute drive, and there are several quaint market towns in the area to visit. The property is only a few minutes walk from the village supermarket and other local amenities. The building and grounds form part of a renovated old Bank and include other holiday flats.

Welcome to our self-contained hilltop studio surrounded by fields and panoramic views over the Northumbrian coast. A place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Located within walking distance of a remote outstretched beach and just a few miles from the coastal village of Alnmouth and historical village of Warkworth. Alnmouth train station is only a 5 minute drive. From here you can travel directly to Edinburgh in 1 hour. The studio features an open plan sleeping/ living area with a kitchen.

This is an ideal location to explore East Berwickshire, with Coldingham Bay and St. Abbs Head National Nature Reserve nearby. Edinburgh is one hour away, famous for its Castle and festivals.

Easy day-trip access to the beautiful Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Holy Island, Bamburgh, Berwick upon Tweed, Kelso and Alnwick.

Berryhill Cottage; a snug stone retreat in nature

Nestled into woodland, this stone cottage is a cozy peaceful retreat. You'll be accompanied by the sounds of the huge array of birdlife, and at night the stars are crystal clear. The cottage is detached and has its own garden. When in season help yourselves to the surrounding fruit and berries, and we’ll get you off to a start in the self catering kitchen with some of our own hen or duck’s eggs. Super-fast internet, and streaming/regular TV. Only eco cleaning products used/provided.

The Black Triangle Cabin is a peaceful getaway situated on our property just outside of Jedburgh, a historic town in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The Cabin sleeps 2 people in a king size bed, with a separate living/kitchen space boasting views through the woods and across the fields. If you keep an eye out, you may see the deer that pass through regularly, or even hear our resident owl. Ideally located only an hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle and the St Abbs coastline.

Ancient Castle above the River Tweed

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

The house is situated right next to Duns Market Square - a quick walk to all Duns has to offer and a great base to explore the beautiful Scottish Borders area.
