Staying at this cabin in the mountains at, was truly a dream come true. The check-in process was incredibly smooth, with clear instructions that made everything effortless. From the moment we arrived, we felt at peace. The cabin is beautifully designed, cozy, and felt just like home. One of the most magical moments was spotting a kangaroo right outside the cabin at night! Waking up to breathtaking mountain views and the sounds of nature was simply amazing. We would absolutely love to stay again!

Would recommend this place. Right near the pub and if your a visitor needing to se kangaroos they are right there. My mom was visiting from Canada and very happy with where we stayed.

lovely home located in a beautiful location and close to halls gap township. house was very well presented and very clean on arrival with high quality furnishings and fixtures. However we were also presented with several "house rules...and potential fines" during the booking process / on arrival that did make us feel a little more self conscious during our stay. The outside bbq is on the smaller side as well as the oven, so if you are planning on cooking for a large number (ie upto 10 guests) please bare this in mind. we also had an issue with the bedding configuration on arrival, which was unable to be rectified during our stay, but after requesting the extra bedding fee to be refunded, this was accommodated immediately. it is a beautiful home with stunning views, local wildlife visits and close to everything you need for a memorable holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay! Just one note on the supply of toilet paper, we didnt have another roll available. And could possibly do with a mat on the floor upon entrance due to the wet and dewy weather, didnt want to mess up the floors with damp shoes.

Lovely cosy house with beautiful surroundings. Even with other accomodation around it was quite private. Lots of friendly cockatoos around as well :)

Die Unterkunft entsprach den Erwartungen. Die in anderen Rezensionen thematisierte Vorschriften nahmen wir nicht wahr, da alles "comon sense" war. Bei unserem Besuch herrschte ein Fire ban - wir sahen kein Brennholz, haben aber auch nicht weiter danach gesucht. Ich würde in diesem Preissegment Brennholz erwarten. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet, alles funktioniert und ist sauber. Wir hatten eine super Zeit! Vielen Dank Cathy!

What a gem of a place! A beautiful outside deck with table and chairs to soak up the sun and the glorious view of Mount Sturgeon. The house is very well sized and had a super comfortable feel to it. We instantly felt at home. There was plenty of space for the dog to run around in. Walking into town was a nice stroll, and you can also walk to the Mount Sturgeon hike in 20 minutes. Really great place, highly recommend

The Grampians National Park is in the area making this an affordable base for day trips. Modern shower was great. Kitchen is small but staff were available to provide items from the Great Western Hotel Motel over the road.

Such a beautiful eco home with the most gorgeous of vistas. Waking up each morning to the beautiful views are worth the trip alone. The house has been built so thoughtfully and remains temperate and comfortable no matter the weather. Instantly feeling at home in the plush couch and comfy bed. It was a serene getaway for my pooch and myself to read and get some R&R. We didn’t get to explore the surrounds as we were snug where we were, but there was a whole book full of maps and ideas from Janet. So sad to see the fires rip through such a beautiful region and the scars remain but feels like a blessing to see this house and gardens still standing. Thank you for having us.

A great house set on a quiet leafy street with plenty of parking and privacy. We didn’t even see or hear the family staying in the back house. The kitchen is very good and for fun - the kids loved the fire pit. Just need to remember to bring your own soap/ shampoo, dishwashing tablets and washing powder. Not a biggie.

We had a great stay here with 10 friends, cooking up a big meal, and watching the kangaroos and fairy wrens. Lovely views of the Grampians. And plenty of room for everyone.

We had a very peaceful week, taking our two GSDs we were very happy to find a large, private and secure garden. A very peaceful street and just a short walk from the town centre. Lots of local options for food and drinks between Stawell, Pomonal and Halls Gap.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area. We came up for a wedding that was located at the Grampians park station. It was a 10minute drive from the location which was perfect for us. Comfy beds and useful amenities. Loved seeing the wedged tailed eagles flying so close outside the window.

Our stay at the house was absolutely amazing. The property itself is incredibly beautiful, and every aspect of it was carefully designed and maintained. The house was fully equipped with all the essentials, making it very comfortable. The heater worked perfectly, keeping the space cozy throughout our stay, and the shower had excellent water pressure and temperature control. We also appreciated the TV and reliable Wi-Fi, which made it easy to relax and stay connected. In addition to the wonderful amenities, the surrounding landscape was simply breathtaking. It offered so many stunning views, perfect for taking photos and soaking in the natural beauty. The entire experience felt like a perfect getaway, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped retreat. It's definitely a must-visit destination.

Willy and his family are gentle and very friendly. We received warm reminder from Willy that Woolly would close on ANZAC day which I totally forgot. We got the chance to walk around the farm and met their lovely dogs. My family love the place. Will definitely go again in the future:)

This our 5th stay at this house, beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely come back next year again.

We stayed at Madigans with our daughter and her family for a relatives special birthday and what a treat it was! Beautifully maintained gardens surround this delightful cottage and instantly transport you to another time. There is plenty of space with an extremely well appointed kitchen/laundry facilities. The whole home is beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail - and is presented immaculately. It is clear that the owners take great pride in this property. We felt honoured to be able to stay.

This is a really lovely little 1940s cottage in a sweet little friendly town. We had a three relaxing and peaceful days there. The cottage is like a trip back in time - filled with interesting curios and decor from the 40s and 50s. Lovely comfy beds, good wifi, and beautiful countryside. Highly recommend this special place.

Just a perfect little place for a quick stopover, and some exciting scenery and animals to keep the kids entertained in the morning. We were greeted on arrival by the friendly old farm dog, who even checked up on us the next morning with lovely pats. The extra breakfast ammenities were lovely. Proper ground coffee to percolate and cute little cereals that the kids loved. Would recommend, especially for families like ours (2 kids; 2 and 5 years)

Golton is a very impressive property and we thoroughly recommend. Its attention to all comforts and ease of access into and within is to be commended. We really can not fault this property. The location was perfect. The house is definitely 5 stars. Modern, extremely clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Beds and linen were luxurious. Bathrooms were large. Has a lovely verandah to sit and enjoy the view and sunshine. Thank you Roslyn & Daryl.
