The Tower, Thornton Castle

Traditional & relaxed accommodation in the 16th century Scottish tower of our family home. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Self check-in is available if required. Self contained annex with spacious, south facing bedroom with access out to the garden which guests can use. We are 2 minutes walk from the river and can direct you to nearby hills and lochs where scenic walks can be enjoyed. There is a cosy, friendly pub just round the corner which serves home cooked meals all day. They welcome "muddy boots, kids and dogs". We are dog friendly too so please feel free to bring your well behaved dog along.

Torphins is ideally located between Deeside and Donside for access to the fishing and hunting with Cairngorm national park also within 10 minutes drive.

Nochty Studio |Strathdon |Cairngorms National Park

A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
