Great stay with David & Justine, very welcoming hosts. Great location in the heart of picturesque Duffield with easy walking access to bars, restaurants and amenities. Really appreciated the breakfast provisions which were topped up daily. All in all a lovely weekend visiting family, would happily return in the future.

This is our third stay at Monnybrook House and again another wonderful stay. Superb venue with everything you need. Flexibility, great communication and a view of the local alpacas. Friendly neighbourhood. Three great pubs within walking distance but we recommend the Crown Inn due to its great menu and very reasonable prices.

Excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Delightful and welcoming hosts. Can't recommend highly enough.

What a brilliant little haven to stay in. I was attending a wedding at Donnington park farmhouse and this gem was just down the road. I’m not used to travelling by myself, but Liz’s emails were really clear and helpful and friendly, the place was clean, cosy, had everything I needed and felt safe and homey, whilst also being surrounded by fields and open space. Two lovely friendly Labrador’s also gave me a bit of fuss to make sure I wasn’t missing my own dog … and some fresh eggs and milk and bread and jam were provided, which meant I was completely self sufficient after a long journey, I couldn’t ask for more. if I’m down again I would absolutely stay again and if I’m with the family I’ll definitely book the barn for all of us.

My sister and I took our elderly mum to Lizzies for a break away and we were not disappointed. Holbrook Barn was everything and more, that we could have hoped for, it was immaculate, clean, and the beds so comfortable there was danger of not wanting to get up! Having a downstairs bedroom with on suite for our mum was just perfect. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking a full on meal. The accommodation is perfectly located to a lot of places of interest to drive to, Matlock & Bakewell were a couple of our favourites. And finally - the host!.. Lizzie was great! Very responsive to any queries, and very friendly. Holbrook Barn is definitely on my list of re-visits! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was extremely clean and well looked after, with a beautiful garden that made it feel especially peaceful and relaxing. One of the highlights was the lovely wooden path next to the property, perfect for quiet walks. It's an ideal spot for a restful holiday. I highly recommend it and would love to come back again. What a great find! Really comfortable and homely and so well appointed. And on top of that, Lynne is so lovely. We were arriving very late (11pm) and with our toddler and Lynne made sure the gate was open so we could cruise in easily and was actually there to welcome and check everything was ok. A high chair was provided (a cot was offered but we brought our own) and a lovely hamper of basics and fruit, too. Everything was perfect - thanks Lynne.

Hil's place was wonderful! It was peaceful and comfortable. The underfloor heating gave it an added warmth. Hil was also very welcoming and she made sure that she catered to my Lactose intolerance. The breakfast was also just perfection with overnight oats, cheese and delicious bread. No complaints here. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you so much Hil!

An interesting passage beside a terraced house leads down to a secluded garden. The accommodation is accessed through a sliding patio door. The two bedrooms and the toilet (great shower!) lead off the main living space. All the essentials are there in the kitchen area - kettle, microwave and fridge. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. What a truly beautiful home this is. The Annex we stayed in was gorgeous, a little slice of luxury. Everything in there is done to such a high standard and provides everything needed for a short stay(and more). Helen had even left us some homemade brownies and fresh milk which was such a nice touch. The outdoor area is a sun trap with comfy furniture - so comfy and sunny that we didn’t end up exploring Melbourne until dinner time! We had a stroll around their well-maintained gardens and orchard which we loved. The bed is absolutely divine - top quality everything. The place is a 5 minute walk from the main high street and amenities, but far enough away to be quiet. The family couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were lucky enough to see Helen just before we checked out on the last day which we were delighted about as we had read many reviews about how lovely she is. They weren’t wrong 😊 Fab few days - will be back! Thank you Helen and your lovely family x

We had such a fantastic stay! The barn was absolutely beautiful — even better than we expected — and the hosts were truly lovely and incredibly accommodating. The location was perfect, just a short drive to Alton Towers, which made everything so easy for us. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and were super responsive to anything we needed. We honestly couldn’t fault a thing and would 100% love to come back again! Andree’s property is absolutely fantastic - probably our best stay ever from Air bnb. It is extremely clean and tastefully decorated, and perfectly situated for anyone travelling by train. Hathersage is an ideal location for exploring the Peak District and has a number of lovely pubs and cafes. Andree is a very friendly and attentive host who goes the extra mile to make your stay the best it can be. Thoroughly recommend!

We have just returned from a fantastic visit to Ashover. The studio was clean and well equipped with everything you could need. The views from the property are stunning - perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. Dominic and Jane were friendly and welcoming. They were able to recommend suitable walks for us with our dog and some dog friendly pubs and restaurants. We were looking for a peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got. Thank you.

We had a really lovely weekend away and were met by Paul on arrival who was very friendly, welcoming and immediately made us feel at home (and we can’t forget the resident cat, Jack who was such a sweet boy and always made his presence known). although the cottage is on the same property as the main house, you still have loads of privacy whilst knowing that if you need anything, the hosts are only across the driveway. it was very clean and cosy with the log burner and the incredible views from the bedroom. the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need, the underfloor heating was such a bonus and the eggs, milk and bread were a nice welcoming touch. we were only here for a short stay but wish it could have been longer and would love to come back! :)

I have stayed with the Glyn & Lynn for a year now (minus July) and it’s been a real home away from home after mine had been flooded. It’s been marvellous and in a way I shall be really sad to be leaving the Croft family. Everything you could possibly want is here. You will certainly have a wonderful welcome and a very comfortable stay.

Lovely little place for a weekend stay in the Peak District. It is in a perfect location for exploring, with many places just a short drive away, as well as some lovely walks in the local area that you can do from the doorstep. The chalet has everything you need for a short stay, including delicious homemade bread and enough cooking equipment to make simple meals. I would highly recommend! (And if you like dogs, Ben the friendly golden retriever is lovely).
