We really enjoyed our stay. The property is finished to a high spec and in a great area. there are plenty of dog friendly places to eat and drink within easy walking distance and we found the locals to all be very friendly and chatty.. our big dog is like a celebrity wherever we take him so that's always a conversation starter! For other dog owners - the yard is VERY secure and you can enjoy the sauna and hot tub without worrying about them. There are light coloured carpets in some rooms downstairs but I had read that on previous reviews so bought many blankets and towels to cover the floor where the dogs would walk and lie.our dogs wouldn't go to the toilet on the yard and the grassy area isn't enclosed from the owners area so we made sure we had them on a lead. Not really an issue but I didn't realise the garden wouldn't be enclosed..only mentioning it to help others. We didn't get to meet Scott but when I had a question he was always super quick in replying .will definitely be back

A perfect relaxing stay at Lizzy’s Cottage, very clean, quiet, serene and Harrison was a really responsive and helpful host. Lots of lovely little touches around the cottage. Would highly recommend!

What a beautiful little gem of a place this is . . . A gorgeous secluded and very private / romantic cottage located at the foot of the Curbar Edge with stunning views of the Dales . . . Beautifully looked after and presented and a very private back garden Very good for young children A top place Will defo be going back ❤️😌😎

If you're considering this, just book it! Great place, warm and clean with everything you could need. We felt very welcome, beautiful farm with animals and an orchard. Setting is great, 25 mins to Sheffield but 30 seconds to incredible countryside. If you want a relaxed place to explore the peaks, this ticks all the boxes. Already thinking about returning.

Peaceful, relaxing, removed but not remote, 40 minutes but home but felt like a proper little holiday. There were instructions on how to care for the property so you don't damage anything, and recommendations for places to go / things to see. I'd suggest my own for future visitors, Maxey's Farm Shop. This was a lovely place as a home base for adventures and relaxing afterwards, we will be bearing it in mind for future short breaks.

We had a fantastic short break in Peak District and Jack's cottage was the perfect place to stay. Very quiet, peaceful spot in the lovely village of Brassington, but central if you're looking to visit Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. The cottage was very clean, well maintained and had everything you need - including robes for when you get out of the hot tub! We didn't find parking an issue at all, with plenty of street parking just up the hill towards the Miners Arms pub. Speaking of pubs, the Miners Arms (which is the closest pub to the cottage) appeared to have closed down, but we'd highly recommend The Old Gate Inn which is a little further (3-less than 5 min walk), but has large garden, good ales and great food. Natalie and her husband are friendly, quick to respond to any queries and offered advice on local walks and places to go. Would love to stay at Jack's cottage again, perhaps in the winter with the log burner going!

Just had a fantastic short break in this Parwich cottage. Stunning gardens and surroundings. The cottage has everything you need and more. We parked the car and from the cottage cycled the High Peak and Tissington Trails. Warm and cosy accommodation set in a quiet village with a great pub 2 minutes away. Caroline is a genuine host with your comfort and convenience always a priority. The photographs don’t do this cottage justice. It really is a beautiful place. What can be better after a good walk or cycle than visit the pub then end the evening looking at the stars from the hot tub in the garden ? We will certainly be back, the sooner the better. Many thanks Caroline. We had a super time.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. Jennie was very welcoming and gave us good advice on places to visit and how to make our stay more homely. We had lots of space inside and outside the house. The hot tub was awesome especially after a long day of adventuring! We didnt really go out to eat but we did Have enough space for our BBQ. I would definitely come back. Tibshelf was great too lots of friendly neighbours and locals. Definitely would recommend!

We had a lovely time staying in Jane's house (5 adults, 1 four-year-old). The house is bigger than you'd expect from the photos, especially the kitchen, which made prepping meals very easy, and some of the bedrooms. The beds are comfortable and the house is cosy and warm. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby (we'd particularly recommend Robin Hood's Stride - great for kids). We felt right at home here and would happily come back again!

This lovely cottage is perfect for a weekend with friends. We sit in the kitchen for hours and just talk! Comfy living room and bedrooms. Love the big rainfall shower. Nice little garden, but was a bit cold to sit outside for long.

We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

Lovely place, ideally located. Beds very comfy. Log burner was great and kicked out a lot of heat. Great pub a stones throw and a chippy. Nice touches with the bath salts and lovely smelling soap. DON’T forget your towels!

Honestly one of the best Airbnbs we've stayed in. The house is beautiful, comfortable and cosy, our family of four felt immediately at home. Keith and Sheena were great hosts, friendly, helpful and responsive when we needed them. The village itself is gorgeous. We hope to stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Allie’s cosy cottage in such a beautiful spot in the peaks! The property was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and full of charm, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The view from the kitchen was stunning... and a real bonus was getting to say hi to the lambs on the farm, which made the experience even more special. It is the perfect base for some beautiful hikes in the Peak District, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a countryside escape. Thank you, Allie! - Jeremy and Amelia

We had a lovely 4 nights stay at the cottage with our two dogs. The cottage was clean and we had everything we would need for our stay, including wood for the log burner. The enclosed garden was a nice place to sit and enjoy wonderful views and to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Castleton is only a 15min walk along a footpath from the rear of the cottage and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the village. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended 👌

Beautifully renovated with great detail to warmth and comfort. Fantastic location if you just want to plant yourself and not get in the car again. Endless walks out from the front door. Drop dead gorgeous location high on the hillside at the end of a track.

Beautiful cottage. Perfectly laid out - lovely garden. Great space. The kids (5 &9) loved the garden and having the playground next door. Tideswell is a great spot too. The local recommendations were brilliant. The staff and landlord at the Star Inn were welcoming and very friendly. Great trip.

Rachael has a top AirBnB rating because her place is superbly located and thoughtfully set-up. The cottage is very light, spacious, super comfortable and clean, and has all that you could want for a relaxing stay. Standout details are the list of walks and places to eat and drink, the views from the house, the really well equipped kitchen – and not forgetting Rachael’s greeting with a tin of home baked brownies, 2 ponies and 2 dogs! And the stag with antlers running in the next field… We will be booking our next stay at Rachael and Gerry’s cottage soon and hope to book the neighbouring Stables Cottage and superb looking cabin too for a visit with family.

Nice, clean, peaceful and private, great walks on your doorstep, great views, very comfortable. All the bits and bobs you need, great value for money.

The house was as described. On arrival it was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of room. Very comfortable with nice outside space. Well located to access the surrounding attractions. Lots of walking and the village has earring and drinking establishments. I highly recommend

Helen was on hand (or at the end of an email) with helpful advice and suggestions from the minute we booked until the time we checked out. Great location just 5 mins walk to the town centre and a great selection of pubs and restaurants, but away from the crowds so very peaceful. They obviously have an eye for interior design as every detail was perfect. The extra touches were amazing (sachets of lovely face cream, home made granola (honestly the best I’ve ever eaten), delicious macarons, fresh organic milk, a bottle of wine, fresh baked bread, Easter chocolates around the place …… the list goes on). I honestly can’t think of a single thing that would have improved our stay. Impeccable.

Clear and detailed instructions from Joanne as to how to get to the property, very friendly and responsive. Really clean, quality furnishings, spotlessly clean. Perfect location for Alton Towers, where we were going and way better value than others nearby. Thank you x

Had a brilliant Easter Weekend at Rods cottage! We were able to park our car and get in and out of Winster easily as needed. Loved the Miners & Bowling Green pubs for meals and drinks, an easy walk to and from the cottage. Enjoyed the gorgeous garden when the sun cleared up, beautiful outlook. The cottage itself was exactly the English Countryside Experience us Aussies were after, so beautiful, well kept, and well decorated. Would definitely come back to Winster!!!! The only thing I'd say is remember to duck if you're over 5'11 as we knocked heads a couple of times in the doorways downstairs!
