Wonderful central location for exploring the LA area; driving in LA is never that fun, but this space makes it easy to get to many different places like Universal, Beaches & Knotts Berry Farm. This place is great! The house was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and a perfect walking distance to the beach and some great restaurants. The host was responsive and extremely helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful location with a stunning pool, though unfortunately, it was too cold to use during our stay. The property is just a short drive to Anaheim, making it a convenient spot. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of snacks and small amenities upon arrival. Such a wonderful and welcoming experience!

Great find in Newport. A bit further down from the main restaurants and night life but great for our family and quiet! Still 2 blocks from the beach!

We had a great stay! Three good-sized bedrooms and one bathroom on the top floor, a second bathroom on the main floor with a TON of living space - living room, family room, dining room, and an excellent kitchen. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the beautiful backyard garden. Tara was very responsive and even let us pick some ripe loquats from the trees in the yard. A very pleasant stay, and we would definitely stay here again!

Stephanie place was perfect. As a retired woman who was born & raised in HB; you couldn’t get a better location for the experience of what Surf City is. To walk across the street & stroll the boardwalk, the beach or an evening stroll on the pier was just what we hoped for in our stay. Stephanie had wagons & plenty of beach chairs & beach towels for everyone. So easy to pull our items across to the beach. The house was super comfortable and stocked. Comfortable beds & fluffy towels. Although we were in town for a sad occasion, Stephanie was very accommodating. We actually went to come back for a holiday visit. A+ host & beach house.

This was our third stay at The Shack! If you're traveling to the peninsula, the price for this location cannot be beat — walkable to Pavilions, the beach (including the boardwalk), Lido, and so many fantastic restaurants. The condo is clean, comfortable, and offers great people watching from its second-story vantage. Will continue to recommend!

Such a cool spot in a beautiful area! Jan and Dale provided a comfy spot that felt just like home. They provided time awesome snacks and the home had all the amenities we needed. Would gladly stay again!

I had an amazing stay at this property! The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk to the beach, shops, and a great selection of restaurants. The space itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. Everything felt fresh and inviting from the moment I arrived. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which made it so easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep after a day of exploring. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
