Dan was a lovely host. He communicated effectively before we got to the cottage and kept checking on us. It was definitely a lovely stay and would recommend the place to anyone.

A lovely place to stay and great to visit my daughters at DSG

The farm is located about 23km from Makhanda but because of the poorly maintained roads it will take at least 30min to get into town. The dirt road from the tarred road to the accommodation is in a very poor condition. It does not appear to have been graded in a while. This makes the road very difficult for low clearance vehicles to negotiate. I would not recommend using the road if your vehicle does not have a high clearance. The place is cold and there are no heaters in the rooms. There however is a lovely fireplace in the living room. The wood though was wet and did not burn readily. We had to buy dry wood. It is very tranquil and isolated from the city. Great if you just want to get away. Recommended for a getaway. Bear in mind there isn't much else to do on the farm e.g., no hiking paths, etc. The WiFi is good but not available during load shedding.

What a lovely stay in the bush. Quiet, isolated and relaxing, just what we were looking for. Rob is also a great host. We felt right at home. The clean, spacious and comfortable accommodation was lovely, but what we particularly enjoyed was the abundance of well kept dirt roads crisscrossing the farm - they made for excellent trail running while spotting numerous buck and birds. We would highly recommend a weekend at Copper Moon.

Wow I have had a number of hosts over the years but Nicolette stands out for her absolute care towards me and my family. I am so grateful for the manner in which she went out of her way for their comfort (as I couldn't be there). It was one night but ALL the help with check in, check out and during the stay really meant a lot to me and to my family. My gran asked me if she could stay at Nicolette's everytime we come to Makhanda because of her hospitality and UBUNTU. Thank you Nicolette, we are beyond grateful.

I had such a lovely stay at this beautiful home in Grahamstown. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely comfortable—the space is not only well-kept, but has a truly homely and welcoming feel. It’s beautifully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully set up with everything you might need. The hosts were absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience so easy. Their hospitality really stood out and added a special touch to the stay. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Grahamstown, and I’d definitely love to stay here again!

Really felt comfortable staying here. Nice lounge/dining room/kitchen. Beds very comfortable. Could park close to the flat. Sharon was very responsive and always helpful. Kitchen is fully equipt. There was even milk in the fridge and filtered water. Convenient plugs at the desk in the room. Nice and quiet. When I asked about the aircon not working, they fixed it the same day! very nice place! Also nice because you can have other family members upstairs.

Very sweet cottage with a lovely sun room and garden. Host is very responsive and friendly. Special touches such as fresh fruit, chocs on the pillows and hot water bottles for the cold winter nights. We will definitely stay here again :)
