Had a wonderful time with two moms and three kids under 10. Lots of space, fun things to do, very well appointed for families.

The house was beautiful and was uniquely located on Lake Superior and close to the town of Grand Marias. We had a small family reunion and the home offered the ability to be close and build bonds but at the same time there was ample space for privacy. It was a perfect location for us and the reunion was successful!

Tamarack house is so nice being right on Lake Superior. We love being able to have a fire at night by the lake. Watching the waves on the lake is very enjoyable. The house is a nice size for our group. It is also near many different hiking trails and lakes to fish and not that far from Grand Marais.

We had a lovely Christmas week with family. The home was perfect! Everyone felt at home. Thank you!

Three of us had a wonderful wintery stay in early February. The house was great--cozy and comfortable with an incredibly well stocked kitchen and an epic bathtub! We took advantage of the gorgeous private sauna every single day and even had a bonfire one night at dust. The proximity to Lake Superior is another plus--as soon as you step outside the house you can hear the waves from the shore! Deidra was a wonderful host. She provided so many recommendations for the North Shore and even offered an early check in since the house was not occupied the night before our arrival. The snacks, welcome note and local gifts (wine, cider, maple syrup and pancake mix) made us feel welcome and appreciated. We hope to stay again in the summer when we can spend even more time outside enjoying the lake.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Lake Superior retreat while volunteering and spectating at the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and provided easy access to key race spots like the checkpoint Sky port, Otter Lake road crossing, and the Grand Portage finish. It was also an easy drive to Grand Marais for dining and exploring. The cabin is a perfect mix of rustic charm and comfort, with stunning lake views and cozy in-floor heating. After long days out in the cold, it was the perfect place to warm up and unwind. Tiffany was an excellent host—extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. The property’s history, nearby Hovland Dock, and surrounding trails make this a special place for any North Shore adventure. We highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to relax and explore this beautiful area!

Carrie’s property far exceeded our expectations. Absolutely stunning lake views and very secluded. The property came equipped with everything you would ever need in a vacation property. We can’t wait to book again this summer to enjoy everything the North Shore has to offer. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for the perfect family getaway, large or small. This was the best AirBNB experience we’ve ever had! The unit is pristine and you can’t beat this view of Lake Superior. The wood burning fireplace also makes it very cozy. We had a few minor issues and Jeremiah was incredibly responsive. The building is a little dated, don’t get your hopes up on the amenities, but the unit itself is wonderful. This was my husband’s first time to the North Shore, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We cannot wait to come back. What a special place on the north shore! Taking in the waves and wind energized our souls. We meandered on Gitche-Gami by bike, ventured to Lutsen and Grand Marais and filled our bellies at Coho on our way out. We are so grateful for this welcoming and cozy space. We had everything we needed and appreciated the fire logs to add to the ambiance of a fall weekend. Without hesitation, we give 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Warmly, Karin and Patrick

Perfect location for skiing at Lutsen, beautiful view from the condo balcony. Carrie is super responsive and gave clear instructions for check in and check out. Would definitely go back again in the future.
