I really enjoyed staying here. it was really easy to self check in with very clear instructions. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The room's temperature was set and not able to be adjusted by me, but the ceiling fan fixed this because I prefer it a bit cooler when sleeping. The bathroom was good, but be warned, the shower is pretty small for a big guy like me. The shared kitchen was convenient and I could see where others have complained about the noise because the historic walls are not thick. I was blessed with very considerate neighbors, so I never needed the earplugs I had brought. The free parking was a huge bonus, because parking in Charleston is difficult. My favorite part was the big old porch. I sat in one of the cushioned rockers and never wanted to leave. The hostel is a bit farther from the major sites, but rideshare was surprisingly inexpensive. I highly recommend this place.

This was our second time staying in the Kingsolver room at Notso (we were in town for High Water fest) and it was just as perfect this time around as the first! The house is beautiful and historic and it’s on a relatively quiet street within easy walking distance to King Street as well as lots of coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. Everything is well stocked and clean and the hosts are friendly and responsive. Definitely the only place we’ll stay on our trips to Charleston

Great Hostel!! Awesome location too it's right in town and we could walk to the places we wanted to go in Charleston. I really appreciated the easy check-in/check-out process. Definitely would stay again if we come back to Charleston.

We stayed in the Kenya room. There were three of us and one of us had to sleep on the futon. We chose this room because our friend is tall and the picture shows a futon that doesn't have sides, but in reality the futon has sides - so our friend had to crouch down to fit. Also, we only got two towels instead of three. Despite that our experience was good. The porch is beautiful and the accommodation is very close to the center. The host is kind and allowed us to leave the car in his parking lot after check-out.

We had a great stay here! It was super clean and very affordable. This location was awesome!

We had a great time at the Notso Hostel’s annex. It’s in a lovely neighborhood Charleston, with plenty of small restaurants and cafes nearby. Youre also right next to King Street and all it has to offer. Just a heads up that the location is a bit noisy on weekends. But we were expecting that and it was no problem, especially with the provided earplugs. Looking forward to visiting again!

Notso Hostel provided the perfect place to park my car, shower, wash my dishes, and sleep. I had a great two-day trip and overnight stay due to this accommodation. I started at Mepkin Abbey with the labyrinth, meditation and walk of the gardens. Then checked in and began my walk of downtown in which I spotted a mother dolphin and calf from the Arthur Ravenel bridge, ate dinner at Mezcla, the Peruvian inspired sashimi is awesome, after which I showered and walked to an incredible Spyro Gyra concert at Charleston Music Hall. After a great night of sleep with the provided earplugs to get to sleep, I drove to Garris Landing to take the Bull Island Ferry for a beautiful day on the natural barrier island.

Visited for a mother/daughter trip with my mom. The hotel was very neat and clean and the staff were friendly. The room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable including a Keurig and K cups which we appreciated. The hotel is close enough to everything that makes it super convenient. We will be revisiting later and staying here. Thank you for being such great hosts.

Shem Creek provides a great location for great food, music and entertainment. The room was spacious and clean and if you like being in the heart of the action, this is your place!

My daughter and I had a great stay over spring break. Super easy check in and out. Too cold to swim but we sat by the pool one afternoon. Easy beach access walkway right across the street. Free onsite parking with our room. Room was nice and clean and the mini refrigerator and microwave were very convenient.

Our stay in the Torpedo room at Folliday Inn was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect - close to Center St, but also quiet and peaceful at night. The size of the room was perfect for the two of us. It was very clean and comfortable, but also unique and fun! We were so thankful that the room was cleaned and prepared early so that we could check in before our check in time, as we had hours to spare. We appreciated the easy parking, access to the room, detailed descriptions, and check in/check out. Thanks to the team for making it great!

Very clean and easy to acclimate yourself to the room and surrounding area upon check-in. You’re about 5 minutes walking to the beach and less than 2 minutes walking from the Folly beach restaurant and bar scene. This listing is all you could possibly need, and we will be back again.

This was a great room and location. Parking was super easy. There was immediate interstate access and great restaurants nearby. Host was super responsive and very helpful. Room was clean and super comfy. Felt safe here and would consider booking with this host again.
