Quaint and peaceful place perfect for a long weekend gateway! Alicia is a very responsive host that quickly addressed a couple of minor issues at check-in. We ate a couple of times at the golf club’s restaurant nearby (~10min away, good food) and ordered in from a local pizzeria for our last night at the lodge (Alessandro’s). Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful, clean, cozy place to stay for the weekend. Quiet and comfortable. Well stocked with everything needed. Looking forward to another stay here in a few weeks!

Shirleyann is a friendly and welcoming host with a quiet and peaceful property 10 minutes from downtown Floyd. The BnB is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need, including yummy breakfast foods in the fridge. We look forward to staying there again.

Ms. Michelle hosted my team as we were in town for a tournament and we thoroughly enjoyed the large space with the nice bedrooms, spacious living rooms, and the hot tub. We had access to everything we needed, with Ms. Michelle even getting some extra towels for us. A great stay!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail carefully considered to make the experience perfect. The location was convenient, and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We stayed at The Frances home July 6th thru July 13th, 2024. The house is so much nicer in person, the pictures just don't it justice. The beds were fine, the kitchen is well stocked and the place was very clean. Tons of room on the lower level to spread out and enjoy the pool table and ping pong. The lot is sloped but not too steep and they have a very nice, concrete walkway. The owners allow use of their kayaks, canoe and tiki hut on the dock. The hot tub on the lower deck was a great way to relax and enjoy the lake view. The house is in a no wake cove and just across the water from Jake's Place. Super close to the SML bridge and Bridgewater marina. Jake's has a restaurant, camper park and beach area with a slide. They do provide internet although we struggled many times with the connections, just power cycled their router and it was back up and running. T-mobile is the provider, I believe. The one major negative is no trash service, not even trash cans. Gotta fix that...

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

I had a fantastic time staying in this cottage, I felt right at home and enjoyed the "cabin getaway" feel. It was a very relaxing place to come back to after all the hiking I did in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was also pretty centrally located for anything I did in Roanoke, and had no problems getting Ubers to and from the location if needed. Patricia was very kind and responsive, and does a great job of maintaining the property. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am out this way for hiking! I highly recommend staying here!

This is the second time I stayed at Erika's yurt. I absolutely love it and it's whimsical design. It is very spacious and fun. Beds are comfortable and the view from the back deck is phenomenal. The only things I suggest since my last trip - this time I went with my 75 year old parents. A light outdoors by the steps to the entrance way. My parents had a difficult time seeing to get down the steps. Also, know that the steps are steep going to the downstairs bedroom and additional yurt. My father couldn't get down there to check out everything. If everyone in your party in young and spry- it's perfect! I never thought about these issues for my parents because it was just my husband and kids the first time I stayed here.

Had a great stay at Josef’s place. Great location and walkable to everything in Downtown Blacksburg, as well as the campus. The home is very clean and has everything needed for a weekend trip. Would definitely stay again.

I can't say enough good things about The Wandering Goat Lodge. The apartment is spacious with many comfortable throw blankets (our favorite!), room to cuddle up and watch TV, and my VT student felt right at home with all the VT fan gear! We delighted in feeding the goats and the donkeys, all of whom had over-the-top personalities. This will definitely be our go-to stay for VT visits while our kiddo is at school.

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

Great location at Bernard’s Landing - right next to the club house with the pool and other amenities. Very large space that could easily accommodate 4 couples. Would definitely stay here again!

Giulia has a very nice apartment that was clean with plenty of room. Although close to town, there is a remote feel as the house is surrounded by woods - a definite plus for me.

We had a lovely stay at John’s condo, the view is beautiful! We enjoyed the indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. SML is such a relaxing place, there isn’t a ton of “stuff” to do and I think that’s why we like it so much. It really forces you to relax and take in the beauty of the surrounding areas. We did the baby goat snuggles activity that is suggested and it was so much fun and such a great family experience, we highly recommend it! Thank you John, we look forward to booking again in the future 🙂

Great place. Great location in proximity to Liberty University. Our host was gracious and kind. He was prompt with communication and never intruded on us when we were there. Although it was in his basement, it did not feel like it. We came and went with relative ease. The property is clean and well maintained. We would rent from Steve again.

The place was breathtaking. A lot of water activities to choose from !

We had an amazing stay! Such a great location and lots to do inside the community. I recommend it!
