At the Barn you will enjoy comfort, space and a bit of luxury.

The Mill

Grade II listed former brewery mill with a southfacing private courtyard garden. Rate is for 3 rooms - two doubles and a single (5 guests) - not all four rooms (up to 7). Please contact us if you would also like to book the master room with ensuite and we will confirm a rate. NB: This bathroom is shared by the 3 rooms not ensuite, shower is over the bath. Escape to the South Derbyshire market town of Melbourne with a stay at our cosy 3 bedroom cottage. Surrounded by historic landmarks such as Melbourne Hall, Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold Reservoir. Enjoy morning walks along scenic country trails, afternoon visits to nearby stately homes and evenings relaxing in the cottage or in one of the many local restaurants that are all within a few minutes walk. The cottage has recently been fully refurbished and is decorated to a very high standard.

Charming cosy character cottage tastefully renovated and opened to our first guests in March 2018. Located within a 2 minute walk from the centre of Melbourne, a beautiful georgian market town with a fabulous selection of pubs, restaurants & shops. It has an open plan kitchen, living room with log burner, 2 bedrooms (1 with a king size bed and 1 with a double bed) and a shower room (no bath). Outside there is a shared backyard and to the front of the property there is a shared picnic area.

Just 5 minutes to walk to the main bus stop that services the airport and park 24 hours a day. The village amenities, including shops, bars and restaurants are just a two-minute walk.

Sleeps 2 people but can accomodate up to 4. A 2 min walk to the local village pub, 5 mins to the local farm shop.10 mins walk takes you upto Castle Donington with its wealth of bars, restaurants & food & gifts shops, P0 etc Close to major road networks longer stays available. You will be comfortable in our house, full of character. Two upstairs bedrooms, with a king size bed and Freeview TV, plus one with single (further beds on discussion); bathroom upstairs and downstairs shower room. Downstairs sitting room with Wi-Fi TV, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge (no freezer), without a kitchen sink. Washing up service provided. This is all for your private use with your own front door, in effect a self contained unit.

Rose Cottage is our 1680’s cottage set in the heart of the the Castle Donington conservation area. Easily accessible from from the M1, M/A42, or A50, and close by to East Midlands Airport and Donington Park race track. Only a minutes walk to the Village centre and a choice of restaurants, bars and pubs. This cosy cottage has all that you might need to have a lovely break. We live nearby, and will be on hand to help with anything you may need.
