The best little get away! This cabin was perfect for our family and our golden doodle! There was so much room! We absolutely LOVED the hot tub, stream, and fit pit at the end of the day after near by Grandfather Mt & Tweetsie Railroad. The cabin was clean, well stocked, it felt like we were right at home. Jade was a GREAT host and we will definitely be back!

Our weekend at the cabin was absolutely wonderful. The home is beautiful and the view is spectacular. The location is so peaceful and everything was wonderful. We didn't want to leave and we are already considering booking this location again soon. Highly recommend this place. The host is so nice and helpful as well. His instructions were great and he responded quickly.

This is at least my 20th Airbnb and by far the nicest! Everything was so well thought out, so well appointed, just perfect. From blankets out at gas fire pit, to pillows and blanket greeting you on front porch swing, to high, high end bedroom luxuries, individual toiletry packets for each day, mini waters and Sunny Ds in fridge, a snack chip bag basket, granola bars and oatmeal packets, heck Brenda even has pancake mix in a jar with syrup! Your outdoor space is awesome, private hot tub patio with comfy seating and lights, another grilling and dining area, and the aforementioned GAS fire pit area with Adirondack seating, cornhole and horseshoes! This IS a tiny house (or two if you rent both) but it's huge on space, flow and comfort. We cannot wait to book both units and have our girls and their husbands join us for hiking, playing, grilling and games. while we plot how to manifest this business plan in our own futures. Absolutely stellar.

Great place to stay! The view is fantastic and the house is set up nicely for a group with plenty of comfortable seating. Host is very responsive. The only downside currently is the road closures make the drive to nearby activities a little longer than usual, but still not too bad.

Such a beautiful cabin and Elaine was so responsive, including when my toddler locked us out of the bedroom. 🤣 Absolutely loved the view and the cabin was so cozy.

This cabin was LITERALLY THE BEST!!!! We LOVED IT! We didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking at this cabin to book, book it, no need to look any further. We went to the Bristol NASCAR race and stayed here, only about 30 minutes from the race. Not a bad drive at all. Everything was SOOOOOO CLEAN , the floor felt so clean, alll the beds were so comfy and clean, and the kitchen was spotless ! The cookware and utensils were so clean, it seriously felt like we were at home. We loved all the wood look to the cabin and all the little details on the inside that the hosts had throughout the cabin. The hot-tub was so nice , the best part was watching tv from the hot tub, it was clean too and didn’t just smell like they poured bleach in to clean it like some hotels you go too. Laundry room and dishwasher on sight. Couldn’t have been more perfect of a stay. 100/100 , they deserve more than 5 starts.

We loved staying here at the Bear Lodge! We had a short stay but made lasting memories. The pool table was a big hit and we may not have used the fire pit this go around but we definitely will the next time! thank you Carrie for opening your home ❤️

House was great for a family get away. It was very spacious with gorgeous views. Laura was very whick to respond on any questions we had ensuring our stay was a pleasant experience. I would would to stay here again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is pretty and very well maintained. Fit our group of 8 with no problems. Jeremy was an awesome host, very friendly and gave lots of helpful information. Would highly recommend this Airbnb!

The house is such a gem!! It was perfect for our family of 9 for Thanksgiving. We could have never left the house our entire trip because the main level is so cozy and comfortable. There is plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained. My son loved the little nook area with the bean bag. There is plenty of space to spread out with the 3 different living room areas. If you want a good workout - go for a walk! The house is at a higher elevation in the neighborhood, so you will have to walk down and back up. We hiked to Laurel Falls - that was another workout! Be prepared to drive a little ways to the grocery store. We brought most of our groceries but needed a few things and the next town is 25-30 minutes away. (Of course, there is always Dollar General that is closer!) Not many places to eat out. The first night we went to the Trading Post and the food was good and the people were so friendly, we stopped back in on our way out to say goodbye!

Had a great time. Enjoyed going to Bristol Motor Speedway only 35 minutes away, walking to Laurel Falls which was a little over a mile and a half from the front door, and caught rainbow trout in the creek right behind the house. Right down the street lives the friendly neighbor hood dog Jake who enjoyed playing with our dog. He does roam around freely so if you do bring a pet I reccomend only bringing them if they can be around other dogs but jake caused no trouble for us. Overall a great time.

We were in Bluff city for a wedding and this place was perfect for us two. Quiet and beautiful. It was fun interacting with the goats and Bonnie the dog. If I come back to Bluff City I would stay here again.

The cabin is so pretty and comfy, and dog friendly is a plus! We loved our getaway.

My family took a short trip to visit Roan Mountain and the surrounding areas. The cabin was well stocked with items needed. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely save this property for future stays when in the area!

This was easily one of my best Airbnb experiences. I had a perfect time staying at this beautiful cabin. It’s unbelievably cozy, clean, and in such a peaceful location—perfect for a relaxing getaway. What made our stay even better was Michael, the host. He was incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond, even messaging about upcoming weather so we’d be prepared. It’s clear he genuinely cares about making sure his guests have a great stay. I highly recommend this place and will be returning soon!

The cabin was great, very clean & well furnished. These are new construction cabins & were built very well as you will see. Comfortable beds, cold refrigerator, large tv with nearly all the streaming apps, plenty of hot water. The cabin has a ramp instead of steps which is nice should anyone need the ease of a ramp entry. The Watauga River flows 20 yards from the front deck. The Host is super helpful, always reachable & a really good guy. Definitely a 5 Star Property. Highly Recommend. Thank you for having us.

Amazing views …. This place is so peaceful, I felt like I was at a retreat! The big windows let in so much natural light throughout the day, and when you look out you see the most beautiful view of the lake. The decor and furniture is pristine, making the home extremely cozy!

Loved the cabin, very comfy and clean. Had all the basics and some. Lots of games and puzzles if you didn’t want to venture out. Wish we had more time.

The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated for the holiday which made our stay feel like home. Tony was a great host, even offering us suggestions on things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome stay! The cabin is full of fun, you really don’t have to leave. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of linens. I especially loved the fans upstairs since it is warmer. Do let it be noted that the drive up the mountain to the cabin is very scary and I would recommend arriving during the day. Other than that, a great stay.
