The Willard Mill House - A Forest & River Getaway

We're nestled on the edge of Gifford Pinchot National Forest and just a stone's throw from the Little White Salmon River. Close enough to town (16 min to the Hood River bridge), but far enough away to relax and unwind. The home is updated with modern amenities and conveniences but stays true to its historic details and architecture. We're thrilled to set you up with a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Little House on the Hill - Gorge Getaway Home Base

This little house started life as a woodworking shop. When we outgrew it, we made it into a guest house. It may be imperfect, but it's perfectly adorable. We have a peek of Mt. Hood from the yard and lovely territorial views. At night, you can enjoy the beauty of a Milky Way sky far from city light pollution. Come. Enjoy. Relax. You'll feel right at home in this well equipped, comfortable home central to all gorge activities. Whether you're visiting the area for hiking, biking, water sports, golfing or to try out local brew pubs, wineries and restaurants, this home will be a welcoming place to put your feet up, watch a movie, play games or cook a meal and relax in the hot tub. Three bedrooms with memory foam mattresses and a queen size aero-bed in the living room means this home will comfortably sleep up to 8 guests.

Our incredible homestead nestled in the woods is the perfect place to make memories. Make it a getaway in the Gorge. Step outside for a walk in the woods or along the river where peace and beauty will surround you. Trails and rivers are all in the backyard! Take an authentic Finnish wood fired sauna with hot water and cold plunge (add as an extra) or gaze at the grand stone fireplace after watching the salmon spawning on the river. Possibilities for local recreation in the gorge also abound.

Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin

We are nestled in the woods within a stone's throw of the stunning White Salmon River. Our cabin dates to the 1920s (one of the oldest in the area but we recently updated it). 4 people max. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full size bed are available). A couple with one or two kids works okay too. What doesn’t work great are 4 adults who sleep separately since that means using the pull out couches downstairs. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.
