This is the second time that we have stayed with Donnie. The first time was in one of the cabooses. This time we stayed in The Depot. Both of these places were as described and pictured! I had good enough phone service that we did not miss having WiFi and there was cable for television. I had two children with me, an eight year old and a twelve year old, and they were both fine there! And we could look out the front door and see Buffalo Mountain. Because of Hurricane Helene damage, we did not get to go there but it was not for lack of trying! Sunday morning before we left, I got to see a deer in the pasture behind the depot! And some beautiful sunrises!

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

All I can say is wow! This home is the perfect vacation spot!! A ton of privacy, very clean and plenty of yard for your fur baby to run around! We saw so much wildlife which was really exciting! The blackstone griddle was perfect for cooking breakfast and dinners! Plenty of towels to enjoy many soaks in the hot tub and enough for showering. I will absolutely rent here again as it is perfect! About a 25 minute trip to Mt. Airy which has all of your restaurant and grocery needs. thank you Balager for sharing such a incredible getaway! We cannot wait to return!

The place was beautiful and private with great views and not too far away. Linda & Michael were wonderful. They were very nice, helpful and ready to meet any need to make our stay relaxing and memorable. We look forward to going back in the future.

This home is beyond words in its beauty—peaceful, serene, and the perfect escape. We even had the incredible experience of seeing a deer leap across the river. The house was spotless, with super comfortable beds and a kitchen that had everything we needed and more. The selection of board games was also fantastic. Randal was an excellent host, always just a quick text away if we needed anything. We can’t wait to return!

What an enchanting cabin! It felt like staying at a cottage you read about in a storybook or fairy tale. The yard and surrounding landscape were absolutely stunning. There is a babbling creek right next to the cabin. We visited with our toddler and two dogs. There is a private trail on the property we walked a few times. Our dogs were able to be off leash the entire time with no signs of other people. The bedroom was so cozy, even in the chilly night. I slept much better than usual! We only had the privilege of staying one night, but I would gladly have stayed much longer if I had the opportunity.

My first stay at The Cabin and definitely plan on returning! It was better than the pictures. Location is very special along with the perfectly decorated cabin. I love antiques and birds and felt like a warm hug the minute I drove onto the property and entered the cabin. So grateful to have had this experience. Thank You Anna.

It was lovely this time of year. The hyacinths and daffodils were blooming all around the house. It was such a beautiful setting. Horses were next door in the field and a little creek running behind the house. The location was just a few blocks from the main part of town. Lisa responded quickly when I texted her and was very helpful. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, but close to town and the interstate, this is the place for you.

Eagles Nest is a lovely spot with great views. Teresa is an excellent host with lots of great suggestions. I spent 3 nights with 2 friends. We had a lovely time!

Patricia's place was a very warm and cozy place with unique and personable feel of a home!

Perfect location! Exactly as described. Everything you need to cook meals. Cozy and quiet. Judy was wonderful. We will be coming back soon!

Guys stayed here for a church youth conference and were very happy with the ease of getting in, the safety of the area, and the atmosphere of the home.

Great location and great hosts, my wife and I loved our stay!

There were a few small spiders/little bugs here and there, but that’s kind of difficult to avoid with an older house like this. It was small, but in a cozy way, and it had more than enough room for us! We had two guests but we could have easily fit four.

A splendid cabin to airbnb in! We totally enjoyed our stay in this special place of solitude and relaxation. Although it was a cold and rainy weekend the wood fire was absolutely cozy and warm with plenty of movies to watch. We explored the quaint town of Floyd and found a food truck along our way which offered smoked wings; they were delicious...a great find!
