Absolutely loved the coop! Such a unique and fun stay. We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy everything since we had other plans in Duluth, but we're definitely going to return and make sure we hang out with the chickens. Hosts were super responsive and helpful and were clear on what we needed to bring to the stay which was incredibly helpful. Can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin with our family (my wife, our 23-month-old, 7-week-old, and our Labrador). It was the perfect peaceful getaway. The setting is private and serene, nestled right on the Kettle River, and the cabin itself was spotless and cozy. The kitchen was well-stocked, which made it easy to cook meals, and we enjoyed evenings in the hot tub and around the firepit. One of our favorite moments was enjoying coffee on the deck while listening to the river. Our toddler loved exploring the outdoor space, and our Lab had the time of his life sniffing around the woods. The host was incredibly responsive and proactive throughout our stay, which made everything smooth from start to finish. It’s also conveniently located, just 10 minutes from a grocery store and a few restaurants. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful natural setting.

This cabin made for a perfect fall weekend girls’ trip. Unfortunately did not get to see the northern lights, but we were able to see lots of stars and in the mornings, there were a couple trumpeter swans that hang out on the lake. The beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean.

A truly magical escape! From the moment we stepped into this cabin, it felt like walking into a storybook. Every corner was full of love, thoughtfulness, and hidden treasures. It was like staying in a living museum—so many charming details to take in, quirky pieces to admire, and cozy nooks to explore. There was something new to appreciate each day. Our kids were absolutely enchanted! They spent hours playing with the games, LEGOs, army men, and other little gems tucked around the cabin. Their imaginations ran wild—and so did their energy (thankfully!). The surrounding nature was the perfect playground: long nature walks, climbing trees, watching birds and critters—it was nonstop adventure from sunrise to sunset. And after all that fun? The beds were like clouds. So comfortable, we all slept like logs every night. We are so grateful to have found this slice of magic and can’t wait to return. It’s more than a stay—it’s an experience you’ll carry with you long after you leave.

Our stay was short but we loved it here. David greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly and made us feel at home. We got to play with his pup Mesa a few times! She was a sweetheart. The place was clean and had a beautiful view from the living room window out to the lake! David also allowed us to check in early which was a plus!!

Very cute, and lovely place that I got to call my home for 2 weeks. Wendy was very responsive ( even at 2am), and Craig helped me with my bags and checking in. Perfect for a single person like me, and I still had a lot of space to roam freely. Anything I requested/ concern with was fulfill right away. Craig even helped me drove up my car into the driveway, because I did not know how to drive in the snow. There were a few snow storms when I was there, and they coordinated with my schedule to make sure snow was shoveled out of my way. Extra nice surprise of them shoveling snow, and cleaning my car so I can get to school on time. Felt like they were my guiding angels who helped this California girl survived the winter snow storm. I’m so grateful that they let me stayed in their lovely home, and checked up on me whenever I needed them. I have never met a better host than Wendy and Craig. I would recommend them, and give them 10 stars if I could.
