A beautiful house, a mixture of old and new in a magnificent setting. If you like wrap around stoeps and views and plenty of room to spend time with family and friends, then its perfect!! Many thanks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is situated in what seems to be a small valley. We used our time to walk into several directions including the rock pools and the bokmakierie trail. You have to walk this one as it takes you very high above the surroundings and gives you beautiful view all around. We regularly went to do our own game drives on the designated roads as we didn't had a 4x4 but still with a vehicle with high clearance. We saw a lot of Springbok, Gemsbok, Eland and Bontebok. We also did a bit of bird watching at the main dam early in the morning. The rest of the time just lounging around of course. The host was very responsive of our needs and questions. We would definitely be visiting Drie Kuilen again.

Great place, just sad we couldn't stay longer. Great local recommendations! Loved Kole & Deeg breakfast spot and Saronsberg Winery wa incredible !! Don't hesitate to book, it is very charming just outside of Tulbach, established in 1699!

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway with our family at Tulbach. The property offered so much to do, ensuring we were always entertained. This is home away from home for us. The personal thoughtful touches to the place is everything. I always look forward to the good nights rest at any of Elzettes cottages because of the comfortable beds and fresh linen! The cottage is stocked with anything you could have possibly forgotten to pack. Anything from Emergency kit, spices, insect repellent, shampoo, washing machine pods to wood provided for the hot tubs.We are also really greatful for accommodating our baby. A comfortable cot was set up for him with soft linen! Not forgotting our favorite part, the complementary fresh cows milk, baked bread and butter! thank you once again :)

Chandre is a fantastic host! Her Airbnb is cozy, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. The decor is stunning, and the furniture and cutlery are of excellent quality. I’ll definitely be back for another stay!

Very nicely settled on a working farm - the daytime view is amazing and sunset is always great when mountain ranges are involved. The apartment (which is bigger than some houses in the U.K.) had everything you needed for a long or a short stay and the braai wood was exceptionally dry (which makes catering for a family of 5 a breeze). Swimming pool warm by Ceres standards and fairly large, with some shade from the 40 degree heat we had upon our arrival. As it’s self-catering, get your provisions before check-in, because once you’re there, you don’t really want to leave again. All in all a great place and it is child-friendly (i.e. not much stuff for a bunch of boys to get stuck into when things get quiet). Thank you for the stay.

Our family had a fantastic stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The host Leanne was incredibly responsive and made everything seamless from start to finish. The place itself is stunning — thoughtfully decorated with luxurious touches that made it feel like a boutique hotel. I really appreciated the attention to detail: from the Nespresso pods and biscuits to all the little extras that made sure we had everything we needed as soon as we arrived. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a warm, welcoming space. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The absolute magnitude of though effort and care that goes into this unit is unlike anything i have EVER seen. Been at many very expensive units and hotels that dont cater or care 10% as much. Kudos to Nina and Monica who went out of their way with everything! Super chuffed. Will be back no doubt.

I spent a week at Julie and Ian’s for some R&R after working in Cape Town for a few weeks before heading back to the UK. Window is exquisite. Great amenities, well appointed with top class fixtures and fittings (le creuset everything 👍🏼). It’s a haven’t of peace within easy reach of everything within the winelands. Bed is incredibly comfy and wonderful views from the balcony. Nothing is too much trouble for Ian or Julie. So welcoming and helpful and it was absolutely a home from home. Urge anyone who stays to take advantage of the walks around the estate, take in the zebra, wildebeest and springbok in the game reserve and taking a dip and sunbathe at their private dam and decking. Thanks so much Ian and Julie, I had a great week and hope to be back again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The Airbnb was charming, well-equipped with all the amenities we needed, and even had thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine waiting for us. The splash pool and fire pit made for the perfect cozy atmosphere, and the breathtaking mountain views added to the serene and relaxing vibe. To top it all off, the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway :)

Landi’s place was just what we needed, and so cozy in such a nice part of Somerset West! Would definitely book again.

My boyfriend, our 3 dogs and I stayed for my birthday weekend. The cottages are perfect, the bed is super comfy, the day bed outside the kitchen is the perfect chill spot. The donkey shower is easy to get going and gives you an amazing hot shower. Loved the little details, body scrub in the shower, cute pot of honey in the kitchen. The view is gorgeous and we even got to see a lightning storm in the valley below the cottage. You could probably hike the whole farm over a week, so many great trails to walk and run. The dam was a bonus on a hot day after a hike. The host Hope was lovely and very responsive. Would also be an epic winter getaway spot, I would have loved to get the indoor fires going. Loads of wildlife on the farm, heard baboons in the distance on the mountain, saw various bokkies, zebra & horses. Perfect place for ours dogs to roam around, they're completely exhausted. I can't fault the place, it's wonderful and I would 10/10 stay again

Wauw! Boek dit verblijf! We verbleven hier 3 nachten met twee kleine kindjes van 2 en 4 en het was perfect! Een prachtig verblijf, de vriendelijkste hosts en een zalig ontbijt. Ze gaven super leuke tips om activiteiten in de buurt te doen. Dit mag je niet missen als je in Stellenbosch wil verblijven!

Came here last year as I grew up in the hermitage and brought my Thai fiance and she just fell in love with the place. The animals, nature, mountains and friendly people. Love it here and came back longer this time and will be back every year.

We had an incredible stay! The views are breathtaking. The kids loved hiking the mountain to the lookout, relaxing in the hot pool, paddling in the lake and being in nature. The cottage is well setup and very comfortable. We cannot wait to stay in the future! Thank you ☺️

We had such an amazing surprise when we arrived at Berry Guest Farm - Raspberry cottage. We had booked as a last minute break and due to the responsive host had just gone straight ahead without getting too much info. What a treat when we arrived with our 4 children. The farm is a child’s paradise with activities - from amazing zip lines, canoes that are free to use at any time, fishing, waterslides, warm pool, night time child friendly hikes with UV torches… the list goes on, but the plus is that the scenery and nature of the place makes it paradise for adults too. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, and a short distance from nature reserves with hikes, waterfalls, mountain trails and wildlife, well we were just spoilt for choice! We had no idea that the small airbnb we had booked offered all this and we will be sure to return with friends to book a few of the cottages and maybe even camp on the campsite. Note: the campsite was very close to the house but noise wasn’t an issue

A unique and fascinating experience. The huge remote property has history, bushman petroglyphs, game and lovely vista's. Owner Stevie was great company for his tour of the property and our first chance to really talk with a well-connected SA person. There are apparently several houses for booking on the property, depending how deep into the valley you want to go. Our cabana was much more stylish and new than pictures indicate. A couple notes: the cabin includes hot tub AND a plunge pool. No AC so you may find really hot days intolerable. Finally, the last hour of road there is rough (corrugated) gravel. To really explore the inner valley you need an off-road capable vehicle.

Absolutely amazing! The place is impeccable and caters for your every need. It was a beautiful stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the private jacuzzi and Daandre was kind enough to leave a camp cot for our stay with our baby! Thank you 🙏

You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful
