Great location, close to the Cabot trail. Always responsive! Weather was horrible for our weekend but the house was safe, cozy and comfortable. Wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back in the peek seaon

We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

We were only looking for a place to stay overnight. Judd's place was the perfect fit. She was very responsive and informative. Home was spotlessly clean and supplied with everything a guest could possibly require.

What a wonderful place! Beautiful property and warm inviting light all throughout the house. Lots of love and care went into this place. The hosts were so lovely and considerate - assisted with an early check in which helped us immensely. We want to return in the summer to experience this again in another season!

Lindsay is a great host, very responsive and friendly. The place is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos! The hot tub was the highlight for us and the view looked beautiful as well!

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

Lisa’s place was so beautiful n cozy, has everything you need for a staycation. I love that it’s right near the water n have full access. I would recommend this stay to anyone who needs a relaxing stay.

Six of us stayed at this cottage for a weekend; it was great! Very spacious, and had everything we needed for a convenient stay, and then some. Nancy was a fantastic host; very responsive and friendly. Worth mentioning that the fireplaces weren’t working; not a deal breaker for us whatsoever, but if the weekend would have been romantic in nature, it may have been slightly disappointing for some. No TV’s in the bedrooms either; worth mentioning since some pictures in the listing may be out of date. Hot tub was a great add on! Washer and dryer on both levels too! We did find the bedrooms a bit cold. Nancy responded to me quickly on this issue, even though we didn’t ask her to do anything about it… I’m sure she would have. She even offered to bring us blankets; very kind! Overall, I highly recommend staying here. The views are stunning and it’s absolutely serene. Will definitely be back!

We stayed for 2 nights during the spring season. This is a nicely maintained cottage and the owners who live on the property are very friendly/helpful. We had a couple of small issues which were taken care of quickly... other than that we had no major issues. Keep in mind... As described in the listing there are quite a few stairs to navigate within the house. The outside property is very nice and was quiet and peaceful with a great view of the lake. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Justin’s cottage. The location is beautiful - very private and right on the water. Watching the sun rise every morning over the lake through the big windows was incredible. The house itself is lovely, with a great kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. The hot tub was a fantastic luxury. Justin was a very responsive host (even leaving us with local contacts when he was out of town), and we’re looking forward to coming back again soon!

Very responsive host, easy to communicate with! When something is missed by the cleaner, frank was able to help us with solution. The place is very quiet and peaceful, very recommend for small families.

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

Nous avons adoré ce chalet situé dans un lieu calme, paisible, beau. Le logement était très bien équipé (nous avons même trouvé un adaptateur alors que nous n'avions pas pris le nôtre). Le parking devant le chalet n'est pas accessible sans voiture adaptée à cette période de l'année, comme nous l'a indiqué l'hôte, nous nous sommes garés facilement sur la route très proche du logement.

Perfect spot for a perfect family weekend. We had everything we needed right down to beach towels, matches and firewood. The sunsets and views are great. Do pack water shoes for the rocky beach and area attractions but most everything else is available at the cottage! Little current, Mindemoya, hiking trails and bridal veil falls were all a short driving distance. Monique was very helpful. Her personal touches for our stay made it that much more special.

We loved the cabin and can't wait to return. Everything was in great working order and squicky clean. Our stay was an absolute pleasure.

My family couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. As far as bang for your buck goes you can’t do better. Andrew and Hali were exceptional hosts, very responsive and helpful anytime we had questions. Everything was very clean, bedrooms and furniture throughout were very comfortable. My boys would absolutely love to come back, and we’d highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a seamless experience on a beautiful lake. Thank you for such a great experience!

What a jewel their cottage is, and exactly as described. The cottage was immaculate and everything you need is there and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had longer to visit. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area, while enjoying a nice relaxing place to stay on a lovely lake. Loved the kayaking as well.

Beautiful cabin on the lake. Great hiking all around. Two friendly dogs came by daily to see us at breakfast. Would definitely recommend for a great couple getaway.

The location was perfect, close enough to all amenities yet secluded. The hosts have thought about everything and all the little things- dog treats, tea bags, sauna spray- really made this cabin a home. My granny and I are were beyond comfortable, mentioning she hasn’t slept that well in some time. She runs cold but with plenty of blankets provided and the cozy fireplace, we were set. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck, walks to the lake and evening saunas. Our week get away at this cabin was such a peaceful treat and accommodates every age. We will be back and have recommended this spot to many. Thank you, Brittany and family.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin! Natalia was quick to respond and made everything easy. The cabin was cozy and perfect for families—I loved the toys, books for the kids, and the great selection of board games and DVDs. The no wifi was a welcome detox and really helped us reconnect. Natalia’s daughter was friendly and knowledgeable, even playing with our kids, which was so thoughtful. Natalia herself is incredible—so like-minded and encouraging. I’m grateful she got me to try the sauna and cold dip! The property is perfect for a peaceful escape from the city, and the animals made it extra special. We can’t wait to come back!

This is the perfect little place if you want to just settle into nature. The cabin is very cozy with the wood fire place and the sun room was my favourite to just cuddle up with a book. They have tons of books there as well as the neighbour down the road has a little sharing library. The whore area is filled with hikes and nature walks along with a beautiful little lake. Dave and Kyra are very friendly and welcome as well as their adorable dog. I would definitely come back and stay again.

Best cabin-in-the-woods weekend ever! Perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, movie watching, and board games. Bill went above and beyond to make the trip go smoothly.

Such a great spot! The view from the deck is incredible and inside is super comfortable. Everything was clean and we had enough towels, soap, dishes, coffee, etc. Also the amenities were great!! (And the canoe struggles in wind FYI)

My spouse and I greatly enjoyed our stay! The hospitality was awesome, and their homemade canned veggies for sale were delicious! It was so cozy inside the cabin we had everything we needed. You had multiple hiking options, spent some time with their animals and you could kayak or canoe. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side but we still managed to enjoy the peace and serenity the cabin was surrounded by. We will definitely be back! Thanks again (:
