For a girls getaway the price was reasonable. Extremely clean, modern and comfortable stay. Queen bed, very comfortable. Loved the kitchenette. Had everything we needed. Nespresso Virtuo coffee was a treat! No need to go out for coffee. Michael is an excellent host. He found us in the parking lot to make sure we enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend this place!

Our stay was really enjoyable. Pat was exceptionally responsive with her communication, and was able to accommodate our request to check in a bit early so we could avoid the worst of the weather travelling to town. The place was very comfortable and warm, and the kitchen well equipped for us to have our own breakfast in-suite.

We love our stay in Rose's Apartment at the Salty Rose and Periwinkle Cafe. The décor was tasteful, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking basic meals - a must when visiting during the off-season when most restaurants are closed. Sarabath and Caitlyn provided clear instructions on how to access the apartment, and left some nice little touches such as soap from the neighboring soap-maker. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't enjoy a latte and pastry at the Periwinkle Cafe, as it had closed for the seasons a few days prior. But that's on us for visiting at the end of October when tourist season is done. We would 100% recommend the apartment to other travelers!

We will definitely return. We love the bakery and the hosts are very responsive and friendly.

We stayed here for 11 nights for our wedding and it was perfect. They were incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. We were sad to have to check out this morning…we can’t wait to come back and visit down the road. Thank you for everything!

We loved our stay in the Factor’s room. The bed was very comfy and the room was large. The room had its own private door to the deck where you could get a great view of the Peace River in the summer. This heritage home is absolutely beautiful, full of character and history and so well kept. We loved reading the books provided about the local area!

Shannon's place was spot on for a weekend ski trip. great location, everything we needed and a very helpful host!

Cozy room in a great location next to bars, shops, and restaurants. It was really easy to drive to the local wineries and it was a quick drive to hiking spots too.

Matthew and his cleaner are lovely and attentive. We felt like we mattered and well cared for, yet not intrusive whatsoever. The perfect combo of " private yet taken care of". I bet this place is a blast in the summer for river floating... we were her in the autumn and it was glorious weather. The built in air conditioner worked as a heater ! regardless of season , this is the biggest PLUS. I cannot imagine a hot summer in Lake Cowichan WITHOUT the unit's cool air pump , ie air conditioner ..... undeniably a deal breaker or deal maker. THANK YOU for the temperature control Matthew. Looking forward to a summer stay.

I had an incredible month-long stay at the Riverside Boutique Hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough! My room was perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a fridge and microwave. The best part? The beautiful view of the Red River, which made every morning feel peaceful and refreshing. The Riverside Bar & Kitchen downstairs is a fantastic spot to unwind, with great food, drinks, and an inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always making sure guests feel at home. A special shoutout to Andrea, the host, who went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Her attentiveness and hospitality truly made my stay exceptional. If you’re looking for a cozy, well-located, and well-managed place to stay, Riverside Boutique Hotel is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back!

Perfect accommodation for one or two adults. Clean and quiet even with the bar downstairs.

We had a wonderful time at this place. We loved our room and the pool was great to relax in. The atmosphere was very peaceful and the host was very friendly.

Gloria was accommodating , friendly and responsive. the place is old , but looks like it's being updated. staff were friendly , and the price is right. I recommend Gloria. I had no troubles there.

Gloria was an amazing host. It was quiet. Hot showers. Not terribly far out of St. Johns. I found it to be good value for your dollar.

I have been to many AirBnBs and this is one of the nicest I've ever stayed at, the room was extremely spacious and includes a fridge, the kitchen is stocked with every tool you need to prepare dinner, bathroom was spotless and there is plenty of parking space. Host Brigitte was very responsive, both on-line and in person
