Lovely place to stay! Looks exactly like the photos - and the area is so peaceful. Would definitely recommend, and the hot tub was great too! Perfect getaway

John was a great host, he welcomed us and was very friendly and communicated from the start. The lodge is so peaceful, quiet and scenic. The amenities are great, only suggestion would be some light blankets as it gets cold and they would have been nice to sit outside with. We didn't stay long, only 2 nights, would happily have stayed longer and would deffo come again for race days. Lovely local pub 2-3 min walk away the Red Lion, beautiful food and staff were friendly.

The advert does not do this place justice. Absolutely beautiful retreat. A row of cabins at the edge of meadows with horses in, over looking a river which have trees and shrubbery between them so each is private. Wifi worked but was not needed as the signal was great anyway. Hot tub and entire cabin was pristine. Myself and my friend enjoyed our visit and were able to relax and unwind. Many thanks to Wayne for allowing us to check in and out around our work schedules. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be booking again in the future.

Fantastic stay at The Bothy. Everything was so easy and clear. No issues, everything as described and better. Loads of logs and kindling for the fire pit and wood fired hot tub. Coffee, tea and a few starter bits provided by the hosts. We weren’t disturbed at any point and got to enjoy the beautiful views in peace. Perfect mini getaway!

This is our second time staying and we absolutely love it!!!! We have children with additional needs so we needed our own space - there is plenty of room throughout the lodge and an area outside so the kids can play. There are plenty of board games which the kids loved & It's so peaceful and quiet. We all loved the hot tub & its definitely a huge selling point with staying here. It's been the perfect get away for us all from the busyness of life & we can't wait to return. I asked if it was possible to decorate for our twins birthday and Colin and Sue did this for us so the kids were so happy when they arrived. Colin and Sue have been extremely responsive, kind and thoughtful and we can't rate them high enough on here. We also met a few other people on the site and they were also very friendly. A big thanks again to Colin and Sue!

Nari provided a lovely place to stay for me and my friends over the weekend. the location was beautiful, the cabin looked just the like photos and was really spacious. the main bedroom is a dream!! the hot tub was clean and a lovely temperature, we really enjoyed our time and will happily stay again. thank you Nari!!

Caroline is a very friendly and responsive host. The property was exactly as described and the facilities were fab. It's noted that it's remote and it certainly is, about 1.5 miles into the nearest village (Little Downham) but it can be a bit noisy for the lighter sleepers as it's very close to an active railway and crossing. Alfie Acres is clean and well equipped and would highly recommend.

We were in the area for our daughter's wedding and chose Sherwood Farm on the basis of its proximity to the venue. When we arrived the lights had been left on for us as we had said we would be arriving late. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped - with milk in the fridge and goodies on the side - and it is even nicer than it looks in the pictures. Stuart and Carol were very helpful. It was the perfect place for the bride and bridesmaids to start getting ready on the wedding day morning! Thank you so much for the use of your lovely house.

Claudia and Andy were fantastic hosts - super responsive friendly, and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and made our 3 week stay in between moving as serene as one could hope! Would definitely recommend Wingate cottage! Thank you Claudia and Andy 🙏🏼

Amanda was the perfect host for a wonderful property. We loved the fully fenced and well maintained yard, a secluded hot tub, and the great gated area. The house was equipped with all necessities. We visited the nearby pubs which were all very welcoming with great ales and food. We will definitely come back.

Chris and his wife were wonderful hosts—warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. My wife, our small dog, and I had a fantastic stay. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: coffee, milk, cereal, even dog bowls and treats—perfect for dog lovers. The photos and description are spot on; the place is just as lovely in person. One evening we returned late to find the outside lights had been left on for us—such a kind gesture. We were also offered a later checkout without even asking, which was really appreciated. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Well looked after and great communication. Pub was lovely, good for those that want some peace and quiet in the countryside.

A simple, bright, spacious and immaculately clean studio in a peaceful setting. The village is quaint with many quiet walks and easy access to Cambridge and Saffron Walden. Elmdon also offers an opportunity to see great examples of the regions vernacular architecture, including thatched roofs, decorative pargeting, flintwork and timber framing. It's evident that hosting means more to Fiona than just money. It was a warming experience and we certainly hope to stay here again when we're back in the area.

I've enjoyed my stay here very much! Alan and Teresa are both very friendly and hospitable. They took care of me very well by going above and beyond. This is a great place to stay at to enjoy peace and tranquil atmosphere while also being within 5-10minutes to Ely. Will definitely book again in the future!

Beautiful location, very private and well maintained gardens. The cottage was very homely with a large comfy bed. Nice bathroom and kitchen. The only thing it missed was a microwave in the kitchen. Had a lovely weekend and will definitely consider coming back again.

We had a great stay at Zoe’s hut. It was very peaceful. We had everything we needed. Great location if you are at Grafham for sailing/surfing.

We booked a stay at Buddy’s cabin for a girls catch-up weekend and wow, I am so glad we did! The pictures don’t do it justice, the cabin is so cozy, warm and inviting - the sauna is a huge plus too! Buddy has really thought of everything, providing all the essentials you could need and was extremely accommodating! We went and did many of his local recommendations too! I would recommend this place to everyone! Thank you.

Beautiful hidden little gem of a place . Very clear instructions from Caroline . One allocated parking space on driveway . The lodge was clean and beautifully presented. Very well equipped. Set in lovely grounds with a geodome which was fabulous to sit and chill with a glass of wine or to read . It was lovely having breakfast on the sofas on the front porch . I would highly recommend this lovely lodge . Thank you Caroline
