Bird's Nest Cozy Farm Getaway

The Birds Nest is an above-the-garage studio apartment with a view of the valley and our working farm. Located at the end of a quiet dirt road, our 36 acres provide a respite for the body and soul with trails and vistas, and engage the mind in sustainable agriculture with a discount on our Farm Tour & Tasting. Our water is from a well. It is tested regularly and is completely safe though it can have a sulfur smell at times. There is an RO filter/faucet in the kitchen for drinking water.

The cabin is at the end of a long wooded drive and is nestled in the trees, but yet is less than a mile from Tanger Outlet Mall and just 5 miles from Metro Health Hospital. Downtown Grand Rapids is a short 12 minute drive, while Holland State Park on Lake Michigan is only a scenic 40 minutes away. Steeped in nature, the gazebo provides a get away into nature, with its double bed and intimate sized room this is a wonderful space for 2 to be immersed in a peaceful environment. Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had! The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

Our home is located on a beautiful 2.5 acre wooded setting. We have hiking trails around the woods and a beautiful lawn to sit outside and enjoy. Our location can't be beat! We are 20 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, 20 minutes from Gun Lake Casino, 20 minutes to the airport, 35-40 minutes from Lake Michigan, and 25 minutes away from Yankee Springs Recreation area. The entire lower level is set up as a private space for you to enjoy.
