Beautiful family home with everything you need for a holiday. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. We loved our stay

This was a safe area where we could walk through the neighborhood. It is close to everything in Knysna. It was very clean and having a washer was really helpful. Wifi seemed slow. The property has a lot of steps, but that was fine for our family. It was nice to have multiple seating areas so we could sit together or spread out when we wanted to. Host offered information on local attractions and had coffee, milk, and sugar for when we arrived.

A beyond five star stay! The stay was the most comfortable I have ever had with my elderly mom who has special needs for her mobility. Owen and his support are incredible and helpful. We literally never needed for a single thing. It is comfortable, clean, well located, all the possible utilities you might need. If you are going to Knysna, you have found your dream accommodation right here!

From booking to checkout Doug and Carla were great hosts. Doug accommodated a late check-in, helped us register with security to access Thesen Island, and took us to the property for a walk-through. The home was spotless, incredibly spacious, and had every utility and modcon you need. A pleasant surprise was the addition of a pool between booking and arrival. The outside space and boat deck make for the ultimate Knysna vacation spent on the water. The restaurants and bars of Thesen Harbour Town are a 5 min walk. We will be back. Thank You!

We spent 4 nights as a family of 4. The property is exquisite and has all the luxury amenities. The views are breathtaking! The house is massive but feels cosy and homely. The hosts are friendly, helpful and accommodating. I’ve now found my new favourite place to stay in Knysna!

We have spent many holidays on Thesen Islands over the years, renting multiple homes on multiple islands. We have now found the perfect home for us. What you arrive to is so much better than any description or picture and exceeded all of our expectations without exception. It's a stunning North facing location with a wonderful view up the main canal. The home is very well appointed and most notably, for us and for my wife, spotlessley clean. Also very notably we were supplied with the small things that make a big difference and give you a sense of generosity by the hosts; toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, sponges, washing powder, hand soaps etc (you'll be shocked how many home stays don't supply the small things). We are so appreciative to Ilsebe for sharing her lovely home with us. 2026 is already booked. Can't wait! The Farrells

Dies war unser zweiter Aufenthalt bei Stuart und wieder waren wir mehr als begeistert von dem wunderschönen Haus von Stuart sowie der tollen Umgebung auf Thesen Island. Auch wenn die Sicherheitsanforderungen im ersten Moment verwirren, ist es genau das was einem ein super sicheres Gefühl vermittelt. Sich auf Thesen Island frei bewegen zu können & Fenster nachts offen lassen zu können & keine Alarmanlage einschalten müssen usw, alles Dinge die einem den Urlaub einfach geniessen lassen. Das Haus von Stuart ist einfach der Hammer & lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Und diese himmlische Ruhe tags wie nachts ist für uns Stadtmenschen einfach ein Genuss. Leckere Bäckereien, tolle Restaurants sowie klasse Boutiquen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Klasse proaktive Kommunikation von Stuart & von Lisa erleichtern einem total das Leben und lässt einen den Urlaub geniessen. 100% Empfehlung & wir kommen gerne wieder Stuart! Danke!

Jennifers place was food for the soul. If you want tranquility tick. If you want privacy, tick. If you want lovely sunrise and sunset walks, tick. If you want space to relax and take in nature, tick. The pool area was such a pleasant experience. As a family we lay outside taking in the starry nights. The only thing that put a slight damper on our getaway was two rainy days but that didnt stop us enjoying the garden and the braai area infront of a cozy fire. A big thank you for accommodating us Jennifer. No regrets whatsoever. 👍

A huge thank you to Peter and Chery! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The apartment is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The highlight for me was the stunning view from the balcony — both in the morning and at sunset, it was absolutely breathtaking. The place is spotless, fully equipped, and thoughtfully maintained. Nothing was missing in the kitchen or bathroom. I truly enjoyed every moment, and if I come back, I’d love to stay here again without a doubt!

Wir hatten eine angenehme Zeit in dieser Wohnung. Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt.

Our family had a wonderful stay in Brenton. We didn’t want to leave this beautiful place. We loved our amazing view and peaceful surroundings. The home was clean and more than adequately kitted out. Probably the best Air BnB we have stayed in. Thank you for being an amazing host and thinking of the small touches, like the risks and milk in the fridge upon arrival. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay at Hope's place. The place was clean, had everything we needed and close to the beach. Hope is a very nice host with good communication skills.
