great little place to stay that is well worth the noney

Very cozy home nestled in a lakes side community, there’s a boat ramp just within walking distance . The master bedroom has an impressive surprise of a huge tiled walk down in shower. As well as a door that goes straight to the screened in porch I found more than convenient. The parking is plentiful, my team had three vehicles and an enclosed trailer . No issues with space at all there was room for more . You could easily have three full truck and boat rigs parked here maybe 4 . Best part for me was the security on the property, it has cameras all around it which made me feel secure about being there and my possessions being safe outside . I use air bnb on a monthly basis and this is most definitely a property I will use again when in the area . The host is extremely helpful and friendly , I highly recommend if you’re in the area. We enjoyed our weekend at the Cabin in the Woods. It was very cozy and private. The surrounding trees are gorgeous and the weather was perfect for dining on the patio. All the furniture is very comfortable from the couch to the bed. Brandi was an excellent host!

The house was exactly as advertised and even better. Erika was always very friendly and nice throughout our stay. The house is located in a beautiful area with great nature views. We only ran into an issue with the heater not working during our stay, but Erika and her husband tried to resolve the issue. Other than that our stay was perfect, we hope that we can return.

Absolute loved our stay felt right at home! Down to Jason being an amazing host with responses and flexibility. We will be using this home again in the future no questions! We recently stayed at Gathering Oaks Retreat in Crawford, TX, for a couples weekend getaway, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the serene and peaceful surroundings. The retreat is beautifully maintained, and the outdoor games in the courtyard were a delightful addition to our stay. The property truly embodies a relaxing atmosphere. We spent our time taking nature walks, enjoying the fresh air, and simply reconnecting with each other. It felt like a blessing to be in such a tranquil setting, where we could pause and appreciate life's simple pleasures. The attention to detail in making our stay comfortable was evident, and the hostess was very helpful with the instructions for the facility. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a chance to rekindle your relationship, Gathering Oaks Retreat is the perfect destination. My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and myself met there to go to a wedding at a nearby venue and stayed 2 nights. This was the perfect location since we were coming from east Texas and our daughter and son-in-law were coming from the Austin area. Beautiful views and very clean home. The pool was very enjoyable, too. Everything we needed was there. Would definitely recommend this place. We only had 4 people, but the home can accommodate plenty more. Thank you, Jessica. Due to extreme cold, the hot tub temp was not ideal. Jason gave me a credit back on the price which was appreciated.

Was looking for somewhere secluded and relaxing to take the kids and the dog. This place was it. The pup could run and explore for hours while I relaxed and had my coffee. There’s a private hot tub on the porch, fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and it all made for a very relaxing get away. Lots of fun memories with the kiddos were made and I’m so appreciative that I could bring my dog as well.

We had an incredible time! From feeding farm animals to the endless trails - needless to say, we didn't want to leave! One of my kids teared up at the thought of being unable to stay just one more night. We will be back. Thank you so much!!!

This place was perfect for our Family Thanksgiving gathering. While I wish there would have been more seating (larger dining table) it still accommodated our crew. It has one bathroom but was plenty spacious. The kids play area was perfect for us to be able to spread out as well.

The stay was nice. Thought it was on the side of the road by the lake but that was my fault for not studying it hard enough. Kelli was very friendly and went out of there way to bring us a grill because the one that was supposed to be there was missing.

Susan was so kind. She gave all 3 of my children a peacock feather, provided breakfast for us to cook and really made us feel like family.

We had a great experience at Dwayne's place! This is the third time we've stayed and each time has been of the same high quality standard. The home is very easy to access with the host providing clear instructions for entry and use during our stay. It is located on a very pretty property. The home itself is new and clean, including comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We are always appreciative of the thoughtful welcome package. Highly recommend this when you are visiting the Glen Rose/Hico/Stephenville areas.

We dubbed this the yellow house in 6! Beautifully kept home furnished with antiques you want to spend the morning enjoying your coffee and browsing! Home is beautiful, easy to access and very well equipped. The extras Grace provided during our stay were unexpected and we felt right at home! Highly recommend!!!
