The house was a perfect fit for our family. The walk to the beach wasn’t awful (about a brisk 10 min walk) however it might be difficult for older people or people carrying a lot. Karen left clear instructions for garbage and recycling on the fridge. She also gave instructions on check in right when she said she would, about an hour before check in time. Communication was great. The AC is definitely a little tricky to figure out but we had no issues. Would definitely come back to this house

Our family of 6 stayed at Venky’s place for 5 nights and everything was great! The home is very close to NYC and is only one stop from Manhattan. Venky was extremely responsive and helpful for any questions or needs. The cereal provided was perfect for our young children to have a snack in the AM before heading out for the day. I would absolutely recommend Venky’s place for families or for anyone looking to stay away from the chaos of Manhattan but also close enough to get there in about 15 minutes.

Very happy with our stay! Pictures are accurate and the space was very clean. The emenities provided were incredible. I rented this for my best friend's wedding weekend. The downstairs space was so open and bright. It was the perfect space for us to have makeup, hair, and dress all done with 6 of us in there. Definitely recommend for your Shore Weekend Stay!!

A beautiful home on a quiet street. Fully equipped kitchen if you will be cooking. The home is clearly lovingly cared for and the owner was wonderful to deal with.

We stayed at Sue's place for a long weekend in January and had a wonderful time. Sue was always available and very responsive. Check in was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was a warm and inviting place to spend the the long weekend - we look forward to coming back!

We stayed at Patrick’s place to attend an Army football game. Everything was perfect and easy. It’s really close to campus/post. It’s a nice little town and close to Cold Spring where we had lunch on Friday. Thanks for a great weekend.

Sabrina was an amazing host! She was very responsive and proactive when helping me and my friends locate the Airbnb, and was always available in the event we had any questions. Her place was lovely and walkable for the wedding we attended. Thank you again Sabrina for trusting us with your space!

Raphael was such an amazing host! Ver responsive and always going the extra mile. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and it is basically on the UMass campus! So getting to graduation was extremely easy :)

Exemplary accommodations! Everything about this place is well thought out and comfortable. (Every AirBnB host should do what Shirley did - label the light switches.) It's those intuitive touches that make this a great place to stay. We were close to family events in Norfolk, plus restaurants and amenities in Canaan. You really can't beat this experience. We were not able to make friends with the barn cat, but we tried!

Hastings is a sweet little town and the apartment is conveniently located near station and shops. It was good value for two bedrooms in the New York area. Place was clean with good light and character. I enjoyed climbing the hills and there were some steps to negotiate. There was some noise but nothing more than you would expect from a family living above.

The check-in process was smooth, and the home was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. This is a delightful place! The location is peaceful, the decor gorgeous and the hosts easy to work with. I enjoyed my stay so much, feeling instantly right at home. And the fresh eggs that are right there in the frig (wow), well, I was happier to have them than I had anticipated! It's just minutes away from New Paltz.

Sharon was extremely friendly! She went out of her way to find breakfast pastries for my food allergies! Super sweet! Wonderful space, private room and bathroom. We felt very at home and loved the neighborhood. Lovely drive to nearby areas like Newburyport and Salem. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy home away from home.

If I could give Grace and her place 100 stars I would! Grace made me feel right at home! She was so welcoming and kind. Her place was so peaceful, clean, and comfortable. She went above and beyond. Couldn’t have better things to say about this place and Pat! The location is PERFECT…walking distance to shops/restaurants on Thames and Bowens Wharf. It was my boyfriend and my first time in a bed and breakfast and it was fabulous - breakfast was perfect, and we even had the option to take it to go if we wanted. Pat made us feel at home, gave great suggestions and the blue suite was surprisingly large! Would stay again when back in Newport!

Chris and Fran were great hosts. they made me feel right at home, with coffee, a light breakfast, and great conversation. the room was large and comfortable, inside a grande, historic house.

Catalpa House is exactly what you want in a small town retreat; comfortable bedding, well chosen amenities, superb breakfast, accommodating but not intrusive hosts, lovely common areas with local literature and current periodicals. It doesn't get better.

This was a lovely, true "bed and breakfast", experience. Myra was a delightful host and I would love to come back some time.

if i could give 100 stars i would! my friend and I came for a peaceful retreat but we left with so much encouragement and new friends. Tom was ready with local recommendations and was accommodating to our needs! Kate was such a joy and the pinnacle hospitality. these are people we want in our lives forever! when we are back in the area they will be our first call!!
