Great spot for our basecamp exploring Pingvellir and fishing the area lakes. Enjoyed the hot tub after long days out exploring. Saw the northern lights. Cozy cabin. Very comfortable bed. Private location despite being close to the circle road.

I’m so grateful that I booked this apartment. Maria was outstanding, very attentive, responded always quickly and she even bake us a delish dessert. Cabin is exactly as described. Bed is good, space is beautiful and I was able to see the auroras from the cabin. Cabin is near the restaurant area of the city and lots of the amazing waterfalls that Iceland has to offer. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for everything!

One of the best Airbnbs I've ever been to. Cute little cabin, which heated up enough during winter. The host was amazing, my luggage was lost from the airline. The host helped me with the airport stuff to get my luggage to the airbnb before us. Also, we got a great recommendation for a secret little hot spring. Would've loved to stay longer and can 100% recommend.

Such a peaceful, sweet and beautiful cottage! Great location! Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, great set up for resting and being together. Host was so great! She had great suggestions on what to do in the area and also for our next stop on our trip! We hope to be back ♥️

My wife and I had a very nice stay here. The property had everything we needed and warm and comfortable. The property is located in the countryside with no light pollution, so assuming cloud-free skies, you should have no trouble seeing the northern lights.

Highly recommend this place. You can take a rest after long trip or escape from the city in peace and quiet place! There is everything what you need to spend the best time. The owners are amazing people friendly, nice, and they take good care of this house. This makes this place so unique. We gonna back there again for sure :)

One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed at. Andrés was so kind and accommodating and had great recommendations, the cottage was charming with incredible views and in a great location. Everything was so clean and well organized, will absolutely be recommending this place to anyone we know traveling to Iceland! One of my favorite stays ever. We hope to return again and again!

Though both Google & Apple Maps tried to get us to enter the neighborhood the wrong way (Pay attention--there are two entrances, & you want the one with the blue sign a bit to the west.), everything was great once we got that sorted. The space is small but perfect for two people, and the location is amazing and quiet, yet close to nearby villages and places like Gullfoss and Geysir. At the cabin, the only real sounds are of nature--from the birds to the nearby waterfalls--and the hot tub and deck were lovely. Note that there is only a small fridge, with no freezer, and there is no oven, simply an air fryer and outdoor grill. Grocery shop accordingly, as we did. I definitely recommend hiking back to the falls behind the cabin, as well as heading down the road a bit to see Bruarfoss. The blue water of both is absolutely beautiful! Finally, Hjörtur was responsive to questions before and during our trip, and it was a great visit. I would stay here again for sure.

Die Hütte ist wie im Märchen eingerichtet, sehr schön dekoriert und super gemütlich. Man merkt, dass Agnes das Haus mit Liebe pflegt. Alles ist super sauber und Verpflegung sowie skin care sind vorhanden. Man kann sich bei Agnes richtig was gönnen. Die Hütte liegt auf einem Hügel in der Nähe vom Geysir und Gullfoss - eine Super-Lage für einen Urlaub in Island. Der Nachteil ist die große Entfernung zum nächsten Supermarkt. Aber Agnes ist sehr vorsorglich: Der Kühlschrank war bereits gefüllt als wir ankamen und keiner von uns musste hungern. Auch die Küche war voll eingerichtet mit Gewürz, Öl, Lebensmittel im Vorrat und Küchengeräten. Die Kommunikation mit Agnes war auch großartig. Sie hat uns immer schnell geantwortet und uns schnell geholfen, wenn wir Probleme hatten.

This place was absolutely gorgeous! Situated in nature but with everything we needed for our family. Highly recommended as a great homebase for Golden Circle activities!

We absolutely loved our time at Lydur and Elva's place! It was clean, cozy, charming and filled with everything we needed. It was fantastic to be able to come back to a hot tub and warm, welcoming home every day. Lydur and Elva were kind and flexible when meeting us early in the morning after our early arrival--we were so grateful for that and for being able to stay at their wonderful place!

Sígrun’s place was exactly what we were looking for! We had the best welcome ever being greeted by the northern lights. The house is well equipped with everything you need. From kitchen appliances to toiletries. And the hot tub outside, is an excellent place to relax. Location is perfect. Very nice and quiet and also close to all the main attractions of the golden circle. Our farewell was also memorable with northern lights dancing for us! Some places we’d like to recommend: Sky Lagoon, Thingvellir National park (20 min drive from the house, bring good shoes, can be very slippery). Tryggvaskali restaurant, Messinn restaurant, Silfra restaurant. And of course all the other attractions around the golden circle. Thank you, Sigrún, hope to be back soon!

Le logement proposé n'a pas de cuisine. C'est une grande chambre avec une salle de bain et un salon. malgré tout, l'hôte nous a prêté des ustensiles de cuisine et un accès à son barbecue

Frederikke byla velice milá a pozorná,vše dobře popsala. V chatě jsme se cítili jako doma,mohli jsme použít hot pot,který nám majitelka nastavila na požadovanou teplotu. Všude bylo čisto. Děkujeme.

Great little cabin! Super comfortable and cosy. Xavier was super helpful and answered questions quickly. Definitely a bit challenging to find the first time but easy after if you mark the entrance road on your phone. Be aware it’s geothermal heated so the water has that sulfur-y smell but not overwhelmingly so. Overall we absolutely loved our stay!

Luke’s cottage was an ethereal dream. A tranquil cabin along the Golden Circle, with all the amenities you need to be self sufficient. The cabin itself was very clean, and we were so lucky to see the most phenomenal northern lights 4 days in a row, followed by a nacreous cloud all at the cabin. It really was like living in a dream. Luke himself was very responsive to my endless questions. We cannot wait to return thank you for such a memorable stay.

What a special spot! Gísli was a responsive host and the accommodation was simple but perfectly situated to take in the beautiful surroundings. It was comfortable and complete with everything we needed.

We loved Rebecca’s place - really warm and welcoming as soon as you step inside and the views are amazing. It was snowing when we arrived and it snowed heavily overnight, so we were glad of our wee 4x4 with its snow tyres, when we eventually ventured out for food and provisions. The road to the cottage is very challenging in the snow and ice. The cottage itself is well equipped and very comfortable - we both slept really well. All in all, we highly recommend Rebecca’s place - we spent a lot more time there than we do in most airbnbs due to the weather - it’s a lovely place to relax.

Great place! The house is really nice and is better than what the pictures can show. Felt very cozy, like a house I would want to move into. Definitely recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay on this cottage, the view off the backyard overlooks a little stream and mountain in a distance. Kitchen is sufficient to make a small meal. The frying pan probably could be replaced, probably some guest who does the know how to cook destroyed the teflon. No freezer though, so just to keep in mind. Also no TV, probably a good thing to disconnect anyway. Up the road there’s gas station as well which is very handy. Its 10 minutes away from a beautiful waterfall called faxafoss, besides being on the golden circle route. Enjoyed waking up each morning in the cottage having a slow morning looking out back the patio having skyr and berries for breakfast, with nice nespresso (pods provided) coffee surrounded by beautiful landscape - glad we stayed in this airbnb! We didn’t get to see the northern lights on the property but did see them on a drive back one night about 20 mins away!

nám se ubytování moc líbilo, poloha super k výletům, klidné místo uprostřed přírody.. k některým ne úplně pozitivním komentářům -v popisu ubytování je psané, že jde o retro chaloupku. ve vybavení nám nechybělo nic, při příjezdu nás čekal domek se zapnutým topením, ještě jsme dali pár polen do kamen a nemělo to chybu.
