A truly special spot, this luxurious lodge is close to Ballyvaughan but tucked in the trees with a view of the turlough, red squirrels, and sparrow hawks. Massive windows offer views to lush surrounding greenery. A spacious deck with bbq, fire pit outdoor furniture and dining table overlooks the turlough (disappearing lake).

The apartment is located on our working farm with views of Lough Corrib and Shannaghree Lakes, as well as breathtaking views of Connemara Mountains. It provides the best of both worlds, secluded in nature but 5 mins drive to village, pubs, restaurants, bakery and grocery stores. There are plenty local amenities scenic walks, hikes, fishing, golfing and an adventure centre in Moycullen. Perfect getaway to discover Connemara.

Situated on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Oughterard, the house is a 5 minute walk from the shores of Lough Corrib and its fishing facilities. The village of Oughterard, restaurants, cafes and grocery stores is 3kms from the house. Oughterard Golf course and Aughnanure castle are within 2kms. Connemara with its gorgeous villages and Atlantic beaches are easily reached by car as is the world famous Kylemore Abbey. Galway city with its many charms is located 25kms away.

My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Long side Lough Corrib. .Enjoy private walks through owner’s farm and nice quiet walks to the lake and 15th century castle. Connemara, with its rugged beauty, mountains, rivers, lakes and unspoilt beaches all from the doorstep, as is The Burren. Barngables Tiny Cottage is a cosy hideaway were you can really relax. The cottage stands in its own grounds alongside Barngables Stone House which is listed separately. Just a 25 minute drive from Galway City and set in Connemara which is renowned as an area with stunning scenery the cottage is in a perfect location to explore the West of Ireland. Lough Corrib, where wild trout can be caught lies at the bottom of our lane. Oughterard is our bustling and picturesque local town.

Catherine's Cottage @ Ross Castle Galway

Catherine's Cottage is one of three courtyard cottages with three ensuite bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining/living room, washer/ dryer and underfloor heating. All of the bathrooms have heated towel rails and the bedrooms hairdryers. Sleeps maximum of 6 people. The Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Ashford Castle, Kylemore Abbey, salmon/trout fishing, golf courses and horseback riding are some of many attractions of this region.
