Place was as described. Check in was easy. Sherry gave some great recommendations for food in the area. This was for a guys golf and river rafting trip and was a good place for us.

This place has it all - pool, hot tub, swing set, game/work room, stocked kitchen, wet bar and indoor/outdoor dining area. We immensely enjoyed the outdoor activities on-site and it was located impressively close to the New River Gorge and all the activities that come along with that. Walking distance to downtown. Bed was super comfortable and shower water pressure was amazing! We would stay here again. Thank you to our hosts for making our stay memorable.

Absolutely amazing Airbnb, wish we could give it more than 5 stars! Not only is it an incredible stay in an actual airplane hanger, but Ashley and her husband have included every amenity you can think. From the indoor fireplace, tvs, and stellar decorations, to the outdoor pool, hot tub, grill, and fire pit, you’ll never be short of things to do. We loved watching planes come and go on the private airstrip, we can’t wait to come back and book a flight on the biplane! Highly, highly, highly recommend checking this place out for yourselves !

We had a great time during our stay. The beds were comfy, the cabin was clean and very nice, and the hot tub was a fantastic addition! Definitely was able to rest and relax and everyone slept so well! I will for sure seek this place out for our next stay in the area.

First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

Absolutely stunning place, the Mountain View was breathtaking! Wanted a peaceful environment with a homey feel and this Airbnb was perfect for it. Would definitely like to come back!

We had a great time staying at Dwayne’s place! Beautiful views of the lake in the evenings and plenty of golf courses within a 30 minute radius. Will definitely be back!

We all had a great time. We loved the pool and it was great to have after hiking and on the afternoon it rained. The house was a great size for all nine of us! We loved it!

This was a beautiful and peaceful getaway in the mountains! I was able to relax and unwind after a hectic start to the year. Bedding was the most comfortable and I actually forgot to look at the mattress name before I left because I wanted to buy one for myself! The bathroom was really pretty and the soaking tub was great! The kitchen was very accommodating and had everything I needed! My favorite part was curling up with a good book in front of the gas fire place and watch the snow fall outside. There is a keypad to enter the home, which died in the middle of my stay. I called Nancy and they came down right away to let me in and change the batteries. I highly recommend having a 4x4 vehicle to get up and back down but still possible in a front/rear wheel drive. I will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We hosted a my hokie son and a few of his hokie friends for Easter dinner and this home was perfect for what we needed. The home was spacious, clean and the location to the campus was fantastic. Highly recommended.

We had a great time bringing our dogs to April's place on our trip to Lewisburg. She was very helpful and responsive leading up to and during our stay. I would absolutely recommend her place to future friends/guests!

My husband and I had a quick one night stay here with our two kids. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the house looked like the pictures. Our pack and play fit well in one of the rooms with us. Being an older house, I expected it to be a bit creaky. I was happy with how little noise the floors made, but the doors were a little noisy to open and shut. The kitchen was clean and there were some basics like water bottles and snack bars. The host didn’t skimp on things like cheap pillows or sheets, they felt comfortable and new. We would definitely stay here again if passing through!

We loved our stay at Memaws House. Right from the outset, we felt safe, secure and right at home in this quiet peaceful setting. It was easy to get to all the services and attractions in the area being so close to the interstate. We cooked, did our laundry, watched Netflix and had a great nights sleep, absolute bliss when you be been on the road all day. We were also impressed with the standard of cleanliness especially the bathroom which was absolutely spotless. Thanks for a wonderful stay a little slice of rural life in West Virginia which will live long in the memory.

This was our second time staying here and I would highly recommend! It is a beautifully done historic home in a wonderfully peaceful location. Pet friendly which is a huge priority for us. The views and property are amazing and Mary is a wonderful host....quick response, detailed instructions and very kind & gracious.

Very cute and cozy room with everything we needed! Very clean and new feeling. Super comfy bed, plenty of clean towels. Nice peaceful spot on the river, ate breakfast outside at the table and listened to the birds. Thank you!

Place looked just like the pictures. Perfect for a one night stay. We were driving and it was the perfect place to stop and rest overnight. Local restaurants had great food and drinks! Airbnb was very clean and had plenty of towels and utensils, pots, etc for cooking!

Another great stay at The Nest. We have been back to this location several times in the last several years. It is extremely close to our family that we can visit them every time we go down! We also are close to the town of Gap Mills and Union in which we visit each time. I can not express enough how amazing The Nest is and how friendly Thomas is when we plan our trips! 10/10 would recommend and 1000% will be staying here again and for the foreseeable future for our trips down!

We traveled to the area to explore New River Gorge. Easy access to the park. Traveled with my elderly parents and the accessibility features were perfect. Easy to get them in and out with their walkers. Relaxing space and quiet street. It was perfect for us! My Dad mentioned they were the most responsive hosts we have ever had at an airbnb.

Beautiful place to stay and would definitely recommend! I’ve already mentioned it to a few friends. Super clean and homey. We grilled out several times and ate meals on the back deck. Gorgeous surroundings and very peaceful! We ended up doing the endless walk trial and long point trail on one day which are both closer to the Airbnb and then another day we took about a 45 min drive south to the grandview area and did the grandview rim trail. We also drove down to the river under the bridge. The canyon rim visitor center is a close place to stop for maps and info. Overall great trip and Airbnb!

Thank you, Richard, for a WONDERFUL stay at your cottage. We came to Blacksburg so that our dog could have her surgery at Tech and Richard's cottage location couldn't have been more perfect. We laughed to each other when we discovered everything we needed was 7 minutes away or less. The bed was so comfortable and the entire house was spotless. Since we needed to stay for a few days this really felt like a great landing spot for us, a home away from home. We had to make many trips to the small animal hospital and were grateful that it was such an easy back-and-forth from the house. Richard was extremely communicative, kind, and responsive. Check-in/check-out was easy. Nice that parking was right next to the house. Next time we come back we'd love to use the fire pit (just too busy this time around). This will be our spot when we come back to Blacksburg -- if it's not already booked. Thank you so much, Richard!

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home! It was perfect for our large family. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen was very inviting. We felt cozy and at home.

This was the perfect weekend getaway! The house is beautiful - the charm of an older house with all the modern amenities. The house was spotlessly clean, beds comfy, and kitchen well stocked. The views from the house were stunning 360 degrees around. I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We plan to come back next year!

Anar is a great host. Very friendly and responsive. The house was just what we needed for 1 night. It was very clean and had that homey feeling. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Location is a hidden gem. Whenever we visit the area again, this will for sure be our place to stay!

We had a great experience staying at Susan’s house. The house was very clean and well-maintained. Susan was very helpful and courteous allowing us 2 hours grace rime for checkout. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and convenient. Overall, we'd recommend and return in my next trip to Virginia.
