Beautiful cabin! Close to great hiking at Daniel Boone and Natural Bridge.

This cabin was a great getaway! I loved the open but cozy feel of the space. We only had two people staying, so there was plenty of space for sitting by the fire, around the table etc. Might be a bit cramped for more than 4 though. It wasn't clear from the pix, but one BR and one BA are upstairs, which is really nice to give people their own space. The roads are a bit of a challenge, so do heed that warning about 4WD if there is any sort of inclement weather predicted! Even the "paved" road is extremely steep and gravelly, and we had to take two runs to get up the driveway! On the other hand, the location is great if you want to just explore the Gorge. So many great hikes are just a few minutes away, and every drive is quite scenic. Really loved the experience here and would highly recommend.

Hosts provided all basic necessary items, which is very appreciated and kind!

This is my second time staying at one of Amy’s cabins. They are beautifully crafted and super cozy. We loved sitting in the new hot tub and listening to the creek. I couldn’t get the hot water to come on the first night but I stopped by the main house and the maintenance man greeted me and said he would fix it up. It was fixed within the next hour or two before we got back from our hike. I didn’t catch his name but he was very friendly. A couple small additions that would be helpful: An extra towel per person so you can have one for bathing and one for the hot tub. A bedside lamp. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and plan to stay at the Red River Gorgeous cabins again in the future!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Getaway at The Aldo! My stay at The Aldo in Stanton, Kentucky, was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the comfort and attention to detail in this beautiful contemporary cabin. It offers the perfect blend of modern amenities and cozy charm, making it an ideal place to unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the hike to Sunset Point—an incredible added bonus (We loved the ropes!)! The trail was beautiful, and the views at the top were absolutely breathtaking. After a day of exploring, relaxing in the hot tub under the stars was pure bliss. The time spent by the fire, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, was the perfect way to end each evening. The location is fantastic—peaceful and secluded, yet close to Red River Gorge and other outdoor adventures. The hosts were incredibly responsive and ensured everything was perfect for our stay. We had a large group stay here for one of the members Bachelor Party. Sadly for us it rained pretty much the entire weekend, but nonetheless the house worked out perfectly. Beautiful woodwork, lots of natural light, and plenty of beds/space for all eight of us. We spent lots of time in the large kitchen and family room areas for food, games, and socializing. The covered porch with the hanging swings was perfect for guitar sessions in the rain as we watched the storms roll through our second night. The bathroom situation was perfectly fine for us as we showered in shifts; never had any issues running out of hot water. None of us minded the spotty cell service either, and rather enjoyed gathering around the small TV and figuring out which DVD to watch. A weekend to hang out and unplug was exactly what we were after. Plenty of parking for our three cars and didn't mind getting our steps in to get inside. Would definitely come back again in the future!

Our family had a great stay! We enjoyed coming back to the cabin after hiking and sitting on the porch by the stream. We would happily be back!

I had a great experience here! The cabin was beautiful and cozy inside. There were lots of windows with screens that I could keep open at night or during the day without the worry of critters getting in. On your way to the location, you also drive through the incredible Nada Tunnel. The Gorge was an amazing experience and the cabin was a great place to return to for some rest and relaxation. Great stay and would definitely return.

We had a fantastic time at Laura's cabin! Our son had so much fun exploring the farm, and watching the cows and goats. We also enjoyed drinking our coffee while watching the birds at the bird feeder each morning. The cabin itself was beautiful with many touches referencing the history of the cabin. We really enjoyed being able to use the farm store by the cabin as well. It was very centrally located, allowing us to easily do day-trips to Red River Gorge, Lexington, and Winchester. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this stay!

Stayed in Cabin 3 for a week in October 24. The cabins and property are extremely clean and in excellent condition. Lawn is maintained nicely. There is a fire ring with chairs waiting for you! Paved road and designated parking space / area. Cabin looks exactly like it does in all of the pictures. There are no stairs / steps to Cabin 3 which makes it really nice if you have mobility issues. Squirrells and birds abound in the peaceful quiet area. It is at the beginning of a dead end street so there isn't much traffic or noise. There isn't a dresser or closet here nor any storage / counter space in the bathroom - so just be aware of that. Futon was comfortable to sleep on and so was the bed. Elliotts Pizza (turn right onto 801 and then right on 60 at the roundabout and it's on your left} is close, priced right and delicious! Kitchen was well equipped with the basics. Cabin is competitively priced for the area. Owners are helpful and easy to communicate with.

One large house and two apartments was perfect for our four families. Massive yard and small walking paths made this a great place to use as a home base

We wanted to backcountry camp, but the weather was looking bad. This was the next best thing, the good parts of a tent (being close to a fire pit, feeling the open air, surrounded by trees) but with a roof over your head. We really enjoyed our time, and the location is also great. It is right at Martin's Fork trailhead which takes you up to the ridge trails.

Such a cute place to stay with a great kitchen! I would definitely recommend this space for your next vacation.

There are three things I am looking for when I choose a place to stay on vacation and this place checked every box! 1. LOCATION! This place is in a perfect location. It is close to a highway, but I never heard any traffic noise. What I absolutely loved about the location is that we were not more than 20-30 minutes from any hikes wanted to do or restaurants we wanted to visit, but it still feels quiet and set apart. Also loved the coffee/ice cream shop 1 minute down the road. Visited it every day! 2. Easy parking - Several years back I rented a place that was nearly impossible to get to so this was important to me. There are no steep hills or narrow roads in or out of the apartment. Parking is right by the front door. Super easy in and super easy out. Perfect. 3. As described - I have also been burned in the past by finding a place much different than pictured. Not here. This was exactly as expected if not better. I would 100% rent again. Hoping to return someday with my sister!

Great place for a relaxing and private get away at the gorge!

We are in the farrier business and had been traveling in the area for work. It turned out to be one of those days when nothing went right and we found ourselves in need of a spot to stop and get some rest for the night. I sent Lisa a message and she agreed to host us on extremely short notice. She was an absolute lifesaver and we appreciate it so much! Our stay was great and we would definitely recommend it, and we would for sure stay there again if we find ourselves in need of accommodations in that area.

Lovely stay at this rustic cabin as described. Only issue was the internet speed was very low (2-3 mbps) which wasnt a big deal for us but may be significant for others. Thank you Susan for your great communication!

This is a beautiful, historic, and impressive home. Our family took a weekend in the area and greatly enjoyed staying at Barr House Inn. The rooms were large, furnishings elegant, entrance impressive, and the location with a short drive to Lexington was helpful. An added benefit was the swimming pool with a deck and chairs/tables for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. All of the bedrooms, two of the bathrooms, as well as the kitchen were on the second floor, which made it easy for family gatherings. It was a great and enjoyable weekend at this historic home.

Staying at Steve’s place was amazing. We love horses and being able to sit out and watch his herd was fantastic! The photos matched what the house looked like exactly. Steve was super friendly and helpful and will definitely be back!

I loved staying at their place. Next time I know to go shopping BEFORE getting there. It’s literally so out there it’s amazing. My kids Had such a blast on the swings , the trampoline and all the other amenities. It was so relaxing for them to get a break from tech and just enjoy the outdoors. There was a lot of dog hair which stired up some of our kiddos breathing issues but other than that. It was AMAZING STAY. We can’t wait to come back❤️🥰

5 stars just isn't enough. Great communication from Steve and Lisa before and during the stay. Quiet peaceful location on a working horse farm, but only 20 minutes to downtown Lexington. Spacious layout was clean and comfortable. Fully apportioned kitchen, enormous master suite, cozy breakfast nook, open living area. Lots of history with modern amenities. Hardwood floors, high ceilings and crown molding along with satellite tv and fast Wi-Fi connection Short walk down the driveway to corrals with several retired and active racehorses. And then there's John-George and Sadie, the absolutely adorable donkeys, the highlight of our stay. Bring treats and you'll have new best friends for the duration of your stay. We will definitely be back.
