Welcome to Log Cabin - hosted by New River Getaways, a peaceful riverfront cabin in the New River Valley designed for couples, families, and small groups. This cozy & spacious vacation rental sleeps up to six with two bedrooms plus a loft and three full bathrooms. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, indoor sauna, and two-person jet tub. Step outside to direct river access, a screened porch, fire pit, and spacious yard - perfect for slowing down and making memories in the heart of the NRV.

Cottage in the Cove

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy both fabulous sunrises, sunsets and views of the mountains that surround you. Sip your first cup of coffee on the spacious screened in porch. Bring your charcoal to grill. Enjoy an outdoor fire (we supply the wood). Well equipped kitchen is begging to be used. Rollaway beds in the closets. Sofabed in great room. Washer, Dryer are available for your use. We are only 10 minutes from I-77 and I-81 freeway. Innkeepers live on site.

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

Ready for a rustic getaway? Our unique rental is located in a working horse barn and wedding venue in the peace and quiet of the country, and less than 5 minutes from I-77! Enjoy your morning coffee on our porch overlooking the rolling hills and pasture fields. Horses do not live in the barn anymore, but in our pasture surrounding the barn. You can enjoy morning or evening walks around the hay field or with a short drive get to the river or new river trail for some outdoor activities!
