If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway then this is the place to go. The scenery was beautiful and made you feel at peace. I would highly recommend staying at the Buffalo Bungalow and we will definitely be going back! Also the host were very friendly and when we had an issue with the tv they fixed it right away.

Cozy and comfortable stay! House is exactly like the pictures and surroundings are peaceful. Hosts were responsive and easy to contact. Beds were comfortable. Would highly recommend this house to anyone! Keep a look out for the cute turkey that visits the front yard every morning.

The chalet was even better in person. The view is incredible and the whole feeling of the place was peaceful, thoughtful, and refreshing. Ron was very communicative and helpful and provided very clear instructions for finding the place and for checking in. I would stay there again any time.

Good place right on the New River. The valley is very quiet and secluded with only a few single family homes and vacation cabins scattered up and down the side slopes. Very casual and easy check-in. Kitchen and house very well equipped for lots of cooking and activities and entertainment. Hot tub was great. Very easy and ample space to roam for folks with pets. If you have a very low clearance vehicle like a corvette or something, check on bridge first, but 99% of vehicles will be fine even as crazy as it looks especially after Helene(notably, their bridge was one of the only small private bridges left after Helene that we saw). Want to come back in the summer one day for some tubing, perfect spot for it.

This cabin is incredible! The view is impressive and the back porch is amazing - the swing, rocking chairs, and hammock are fantastic amenities to relax and watch the sun set. The firepit area shares the same incredible view. The windows in the great room and kitchen showcase the view from inside too. The inside of the cabin is generously stocked with cooking hardware. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. Our kids loved the bunkbed room. The location is among other cabins/houses but still feels private. It's also halfway between Boone and Blowing Rock, making it a great central location for activities in both areas. We had an amazing time here and would love to visit again!

Morning View Escape was awesome. Tammy's house overlooks a big open field which leads to the river. It's very peaceful and beautiful! It was perfect for our young children to run and play. Playing in the river was a big hit, too! We'll be back :)

loved this area and the house, while smaller as it is an old farmhouse, was wonderful. Beds were comfortable. Smaller kitchen with not much counter space, but most everything needed to prepare a meal was available. All in all it was a great place with a big yard to get out and stroll about. The host was very helpful and communication was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harpers Hideaway. The cabin was charming and very well stocked with anything you would need in the kitchen, extra pillows and blankets in the bedroom and extra towels in the spacious bathroom. The location was very convenient to Blowing Rock and Boone. We will certainly try to stay here the next time we are in the area.

Fantastic hosts every friendly quick to respond, we had a fantastic time loved the wagon unique stay very clean . We will be back and recommending to our friends and family !

Beautiful home deep in NC mountains! Spent a long weekend there with family and there was plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 kids. Great outdoor spaces for the kids to play and adults to relax. Nights were cool enough to have a fire in the outdoor fireplace! Trails connect the house to the shared pavilion and pond which is beautifully landscaped and peaceful but no fish in the pond much to my nephew’s disappointment. Another steep trail goes all the way up to the top of the mountain with an amazing view! The town of Lansing and the terrain around the house has significantly changed due to Hurricane Helene but the house was not affected. It was a great Easter weekend!

If you're looking for a cabin that feels like home this is it. The cabin was very clean and appeared just like it did in the photos provided. The bed is very comfortable and the bathrooms have heated floors which is very amazing. The host was very helpful and responded quickly. I definitely recommend this cabin.

Susan is amazing!!! She went over and beyond for my husband and I who managed to lock ourselves out of the house with the truck keys, phone, and all information inside!!! Susan saved the day!!! I loved the little house, very clean! Love the setting and outdoor space. The house set up does not provide much privacy if you are a couple traveling with others but it worked for us and our needs and weekend with daughter. Would definitely book again if in the area! Susan made me feel like a friend and not just a renter using her place.

We had a fantastic and extremely restful stay. Shelby was a fantastic communicator and the cabin exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to return for another visit.

I stayed here with my dog and a friend. The cabin was truly relaxing, nestled perfectly in the trees by a creek. The yard is fenced so your pup can freely enjoy being outside with you, by the fire pit or on the elevated deck. Our hosts were quickly responsive and helpful, making sure every part of our experience was enjoyable. Waking up to the sound of birds and the creek, breathing in the fresh air, and disconnecting from the rush of everyday life was such a gift. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature. If you’re headed out, make sure you visit downtown Lansing. We spent a little time in the general store getting coffee, tea, and beer each day, and learned that other businesses are reopening after Helene. The produce market is working hard to reopen for summer. We had to venture to Jefferson for groceries but it was a pleasant drive and we enjoyed our entire stay. Lansing is a gem and I wish everyone the best as they rebuild!

Excellent place to stay and very relaxing! Watching the cows in the morning while drinking coffee on the porch was the best part.

This place was adorable and exactly as pictured! Only about 15 minutes away from most things we wanted to do, and the goats were a lot of fun. Definitely would stay again!

The home is at a high elevation with a beautiful vista including Grandfather Mountain and Hawks Nest. The home is well appointed with beautiful appliances. The combo Keurig makes coffee with pods or full pot of using filters and ground coffee. The main bedroom upstairs is spacious and has a full view of the mountain range. We choose the downstairs bedroom to avoid using the stairs. The arcade downstairs is amazing with Air hockey, foosball, and several full size video games and wall mounted Ms Pac Man. We loved watching the birds especially the Eastern Towhee which would sit in the A-framed window in the dining room. Being a frequent visitor to Banner Elk the proximity to Grandfather Vineyard was the best part. We enjoy sitting by the Watauga River drinking wine and listening to live music from talent local artists. Restaurants are close by or enjoy cooking out and enjoying the view from the huge deck. Make sure to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. This is God’s country!

Elizabeth’s place is in a great location! Less than .2 miles from Hawksnest Snow Tubing. Great sunrises and sunsets overlooking the mountains. Elizabeth was an excellent host - extremely understanding when we had issues getting back to the Round House due to a snowstorm. Highly recommend.

This listing had everything and so much more. the host was extremely helpful with recommendations for activities in the area. she was also very thoughtful, leaving a bottle of champagne for my wife and I to celebrate her birthday. the house was immaculate, with cozy ambiance down to aromatherapy in every room. the listing had.a hot tub, sauna, fire pit, game room, multiple fireplaces, very comfortable beds, excellent water pressure in spacious showers, comfortable furnishings, a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. there were even menus for local restaurants provided in a well organized book. if you are planning to stay in the Banner Elk/Beech Mtn/Sugar Mtn area, this listing should be on the top of your list! we will absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Husky Hideaway! Our kids and dogs loved playing outside while we relaxed on the porch. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved having their own space in the loft! The home is in a great location that feels private but safe and is just a short trip to so many fun activities and restaurants. This is a great place for a relaxing family retreat.

Lovely spot. We were celebrating my husbands birthday with our 3 yo twins. They loved the twin beds in the second bedroom and the home was cozy and inviting. We had a fire outside the night of check in. We loved the ambiance and only wished it was a snowy weekend to keep us locked inside. Didn’t get to use their indoor gas fireplace, but hopefully next time we can! All around great experience.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at the Weekender and it was absolutely perfect. Bryan and Sharon are delightful hosts and created an unforgettable experience for our family. We even had a chance to enjoy a snow storm on our last evening and wow, what a view this home offers! Thanks again for making us feel like home and hope to come back again soon.

This was a very relaxing stay for my husband and I. We wanted a place that was private and surrounded by nature and this place fit the bill. The cabin was squeaky clean and super comfy and cozy with everything we needed. The weather was yucky when we first arrived, but we didn't mind staying in and just resting at the cabin and in the hot tub. We loved that it was close enough to restaurants and a grocery store so we could decide if we wanted to eat out or cook. We also visited the Linville Gorge on our last day for a breathtaking hike. Beautiful area. We would stay here again.

The cabin was just perfect. Private, quiet, surrounded by nature. The location was secluded but also close to any kind of store you might need while there. The host was pleasant and responsive. I would love a chance to stay here again.
