Enjoy sharing this Ausable river front home by staying in a private lower-level walkout. WE LIVE ABOVE. This gorgeous log home is on the famous Holy waters. The bottom story is a finished lower level with a separate entrance and living area from the homeowners above. The suite has a walk out onto the patio with a gentle slope to 200 ft of rocky bottom river frontage. This is located five miles from the city of Grayling. You will be close to hiking trails, hiking, snowmobile trails, and skiing.

Fly-fishing, hunting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, snowmobiling, golfing, hiking...you can do it all within minutes of our log cabin, located near the North Branch of the AuSable River in Lovells - 25 minutes from downtown Grayling and Lewiston. Our 3-bedroom cabin has 2 full bathrooms and sleeps 8 comfortably. Our cul-de-sac driveway can accommodate several cars and small ORV trailers. Relax in front of our woodstove fire and two large-screen TVs, or sit out by the fire pit under the stars.

Cozy cabin on 20 acres(occasional neighbor across road) where you can enjoy snowmobiling in Grayling/Gaylord area or ATV riding in the Frederic area. Just minutes from Hartwick Pines State Park or Forbush Corner for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. 20 minute drive from treetops resort in Gaylord. Camp Grayling (near I-75) holds occasional trainings see their FB for schedules.

We offer 2 kayaks to use (must transport) cornhole boards & bags, trail riding your UTV/ORV, hiking, rafting at Jordan Valley Outfitter, snowmobiling. & many fine dining restaurants, several ski resorts and short day trips! Additionally, a 90 jet hottub for ultimate relaxation!

The full kitchen is stocked with everything you need for home-cooked meals, including a full refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and cooking and baking essentials.

Au Sable Busted Grouse Cabin

The Cabin at The Busted Grouse is the quintessential northern Michigan chalet. One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby.
