Sandra’s house was such a dream. I went with my friends for 5 days and we had such a good time we didn’t even leave the property the entire time. The pool and outdoor areas were so nice, the views were amazing and you truly are in the heart of nature. We spend our days at the pool and nights watching the stars. The house had everything and it looks even better in real life ❤️ Sandra was super sweet and responsive :) we are looking forward to come back, maybe next year 😍 obrigada :)

Canelas is a beautiful town for a mountain getaway. We loved the beautiful views from the property and the pool was great for our summer visit. Arouca is a charming town and we enjoyed visiting the convent and the local shops. We took day trips to the beach in Espinho, Pesa da Régua to taste wine and port, and Porto. We loved hiking near the Rio de Paiva too. The accommodations are historic in feel but also comfortable. We were able to cook dinners using the utensils in the kitchen. Elisabete and Rosaria were very kind and easy to communicate with.

Lugar tranquilo com vistas incríveis. Tem um ambiente ótimo para relaxar uns dias. Boa piscina. Tem um PR muito próximo da casa. E tem gatinhos muito fofos!!

Wir hatten 2 wundervolle Tage in dieser außergewöhnlichen und wunderschönen, gepflegten Unterkunft. Wir waren mit einer befreundeten Familie dort und hatten eine tolle Zeit! Absolut geeignet für Familien, viel Platz, ein erfrischender Pool, eine mit Kiwipflanzen überdachte Terrasse, von der aus man am Abend den Fluss fließen hören konnte. Helena waren äußerst hilfsbereit und sogar in ihrem Urlaub zu erreichen. Dennoch würden wir persönlich empfangen und uns würde alles gezeigt. Beeindruckend sind Helenas selbst gemalte Kunstwerke im Haus und eigens geschriebenen Bücher. Einfach toll! Wir kommen gern wieder. :-)

Excellent séjour à Cancela House! La maison est conforme à la description : charmante et atypique, cadre bucolique, calme, décoration soignée, bien équipée. Un petit havre de paix dans la petite montagne, au milieu des forêts d’eucalyptus. On s’y sent bien. Mention spéciale pour l’abri repas/barbecue très agréable, la charmante piscine avec vue et la jolie cour (avec super transats). Nous avons adoré le cadre et cette maison! Fatima était chaleureuse et réactive. Échanges très faciles. Si vous aimez l’authenticité, les hébergements typiques (et atypiques à la fois), découvrir ce coin de montagne, découvrir Arouca Geo Park (passadiços de Paiva + Arouca 516)… Allez-y !

Foi apenas uma estadia de uma noite, mas foi muito bom! a casa está localizada no meio da natureza, com paisagens naturais incríveis. A casa em si superou as expectativas, 3 quartos muito bons, todos com WC. espaços exteriores incríveis. Sra. Maria Emília e Sr. Sérgio foram impecáveis, com facilidade nos horários de check in e check out. Recomendo sem dúvida.

Graça es una anfitriona fantástica: amable, atenta, cercana… Su casa es un remanso de tranquilidad, en una finca enorme con detalles preciosos. La piscina natural, en particular, es un lujo. No obstante, diría que lo mejor fue hacer caso a su recomendación de ir a cenar al Zé de Ver. ¡Qué bien comimos, por favor!!!

Stayed here with a group of friends and had a great time - the place is so spacious, clean, with everything you need (and the showers are powerful and super refreshing)... The place is super chilled with nature all around, great for lazing by the pool - its about 2.5km walk into arouca town centre along wooden walkways!

Una maravilla. Todo perfecto. La casa está en una aldea totalmente rehabilitada. El entorno es espectacular, perfecto para descansar y desconectar. La atención y la hospitalidad inmejorables.

The hosts were amazing! they made sure we will feel at home from the first day. took care of any issue that came by. they brought us fresh bread every morning. the surrounding is really magical. the only thing that was a bit sucks was the washing machine and the dryer. it was in a different structure with 1 min walk and when the weather is raining its not that easy. other than that everything was fine!

I loved this place! Host was so responsive to all of my messages (both prior to and during my stay) providing me with helpful information for our arrival, checkin and stay.The AirBnB has excellent amenities and I made a lot of use of the kitchen and common space. Very quiet área with amazing landscaping views. Highly recomended

Un logement super, dans un petit village isolé dans la montagne, bien équipé, bien agencé (grande salle de bain, cuisine pratique, petite cour à l'arrière pour manger dehors), avec tout ce qu'il faut pour faire à manger (dont huile, condiments...). Avec en prime un gâteau de la propriétaire et un pot de son miel. L'accueil a été très bon, de bon conseil pour les activités aux alentours. Vraiment une bonne expérience. Un logement parfait pour les amoureux de la nature à la recherche d'un petit cocon douillet et isolé, pour se ressourcer et profiter de la région. Porto est à 1h en voiture, les commerces à 15 minutes. Nous recommandons vivement.

From the moment we booked, Maria went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She welcomed us with a warm smile, local fruits, delicious snacks, and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The house itself is beautifully designed, peaceful, spotless, and fully equipped. Waking up surrounded by nature, enjoying a cozy evening by the fireplace, and disconnecting from the world was exactly what we needed. Maria was incredibly attentive to every detail. Any question or request was answered immediately with kindness and care. She truly made our stay exceptional. This is without a doubt one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended – not only for the stunning home but especially for Maria, who made it all feel magical.

Fantastique nous avons passé une très bon séjour, le logement est très beau, propre et propose de bons équipements, nous étions 10 et personne n'a manqué de rien, le village est très beau et reposant, l'accueil était incroyable, car nous sommes arrivés en retard, comme nous avons eu du mal à trouver le village, et Aurea était extrêmement accueillante, avec un gâteau à l'arrivée, le côté atypique est vraiment chouette, nous avons pu facilement aller visiter Aveiro, et Porto, encore merci pour l'accueil, je recommande vivement Maryvonne Fernandes

Great location, ideal for anyone looking for a peaceful place. The view is awesome, there are a lot of walk-able trails in the region. Very little cars to bother around. And the breakfast at home is great. You'll also have a very well equipped kitchen. You're very likely to be positively surprised with the overall experience and surrounding views and sounds. I can not recommend it enough. Sergio and is father were also great hosts, always available, and ready to guide you in all the right directions. PS: if you have a large car, and/or you're not comfortable driving around tight places, you'll probably be more comfortable leaving it in a car park about 30m from the house.

Casa muito acolhedora praticamente no centro. Cozinhas muito bem equipadas. Limpeza irrepreensível. Excelente para uns dias bem passados em família.

What a great place to stay! Olga is a superhost who does everything to make your stay the best! The paiva walkways are very near (ask Olga about the short-cut ;) swimming in the river a great way to cool off a bit. We enjoyed ourselves in the evening making a fire on the BBQ and had the best time!
