Lyn and Peter were amazing hosts for our family of 4 (two adults plus two kids, ages 9&6.) Lyn greeted us at check-in, but gave us privacy after that, and was super quick to respond to texts on the rare occasion we had a question. The boathouse was as described with even more amenities than listed and more spacious and beautiful than the pictures could do justice. The place is immaculate with careful thought and detail into every little decoration and little touches (e.g. a basket in the bedroom with bug spray, package toothbrush, etc. for any forgotten items.) We felt completely at home in the boathouse and enjoyed the beautiful views from the upstairs deck and dock, where we spent the majority of our time. We all loved taking out the SUPs that were there for our use and it was a quick drive into town to visit Don’s Bakery (IYKYK), Splash Island, and the ski show on Tuesday night. Highly recommend the boathouse for your next Muskoka stay! Lyn’s hospitality is 10/10.

Great value and convenient location for our parent's weekend in Geneva. We were a family of four; two adults and two teens so the layout for sleeping gave everyone their own space. Bring your own towels and bed sheets. Blankets, duvets and pillows are provided. We arrived after dark and missed the entry several times. Luckily, Paula met us with her car lights on near the entry and guided us down the lane. A helpful landmark for others is to turn opposite the car wash area of the Speedway gas station. Thank you Paula and John.

This was our first experience on a houseboat. We were both in need of rest and relaxation. I loved hearing the rain drops while I slept and have always felt nurtured by the rocking of a boat. We enjoyed our experience, caught up on lots of reading. We left feeling restored. Rheanna was a delight to meet! So helpful in getting us boarded. The boat is fully equipped and very detailed instructions were helpful to refer to when needed. I highly recommend this experience! We enjoyed the full moon and the golden glow of the fall leaves during our stay. Would be great to return and also to experience a cabin stay on the property. If you are a cold plunger this experience would be a plus! There is also a sauna on the premises. We had the choice to paddle back to land on the canoe attached to our mooring. However, we chose to stay on board for the three nights on the houseboat.

Danielle is a fantastic host with a beautiful home. Within minutes of settling into the Lilypad we were already making plans to return. The views were excellent, water taxi service was convenient, the boat was in terrific shape, and we felt right at home.

This will make my second visit. Location, location, location! If you are a nature lover, this is the perfect getaway. Even though the weather was not so great on this recent trip, waking up to the amazing view was still worth the trip. If you need a break from the city life and 9 to 5, this is definitely the place. This is not a shopping or extravagant restaurant type of thing… this is strictly a peace and tranquility type of getaway! Charles, thank you for opening your home to me and my family. This stay was just as awesome as the last!

I proposed here! Newport has been very special for me and my partner. I knew Lilypad would be the perfect setting and Danielle went above and beyond to help me make the proposal better than I envisioned! The Lilypad was tucked in around Fort Adams with beautiful views of the bay. The waters were serene with a gentle breeze throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the watertaxi rides, especially at night where we stargazed underneath a clear sky! Danielle was super friendly and accomendated all of our needs. Lilypad will forever have a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to stay again!

The house boat is in a great location with easy walking access the Freedom Trail locations like Bunker Hill or the USS Constitution. Catching the ferry to Long Wharf or the 93 bus downtown is also very convenient. Our two kids loved the sleeping in the loft.

The house boat was truly a unique and enjoyable experience. The “locals” living at the marina were very chatty and friendly. All around it was a wonderful atmosphere and an exciting memory!

Loved having a different/unique place to stay while in Door county. The houseboat is literally next to the steel bridge but noise was not a problem. What I had not counted on was the very gentle swaying of the boat though this did not affect our stay at all. The beds were very comfortable, the houseboat was clean. The directions to get there were detailed and clear. Loved sitting up on the deck watching the world go by! We did have one issue while we were there, Mary was incredible responsive and the issue was solved promptly! Loved the guy who came to resolve the issue, he was full of local history and information! Great experience!

Super cool, upscale houseboat! Cute yard area and waterfront mini beach our Corgi loved to frolic about as we enjoyed the views and quietness this time of year. Was awesome to ring in 2025 in such a unique setting! Thank you, Super Host! Five Stars *****

Rejuvenating staycation!!. Loved staying at the floating cabin!! All throughout our stay we admired watching the lake with ducks floating in it and the full moon casting its light on the lake at night ,it was a scenic view!!The surrounding property was vast to take a stroll and enjoy.The cabin was provided with a canoe which was the highlight. Paddling the canoe was fun. Contessa was an amazing host, she interacted with us and made us feel at home.

This place was so unique and worth every penny. This is the first time I have stayed in a house actually on the water. It was so peaceful and the water was tranquil. I have already recommended this home to my friends.

Danielle’s house boat was just perfect. We came for a weekend get away for our 1st Anniversary and absolutely loved it. The house boat was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The river was peaceful and serene. We’d love to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards they provide. She was very resourceful with local recommendations. We loved the local beaches, restaurants, and quaint coastal towns. 5/5 recommend this place

Amazing stay. As noted it was a great location and central to pretty much everything. We always felt safe and Greg was a standout host. We've been to a lot of ABNB's over the years and this one has become, and will stay at the top of our list. We would definitely reserve this location again. If you're interested in a quiet, peaceful place on the river...literally ON the river...in a quaint and cozy houseboat, you'll be doing yourself a disservice by not choosing this listing. I had a wonderful wonderful time. Such a unique place to stay and they truly thought of everything you could want or need in the place. I could see the sunset on the west side of the boat and watch it rise on the east. Bathroom and shower at the Marina were spotless. Boat was very clean and comfortable to sleep in. Michele got back to me quickly with any questions I had. The state park nearby is stunning and had a beautiful beach to walk on. Great restaurant just behind the boathouse that was fun to watch a game at. Will definitely try to return next summer. Highly recommend

I loved Julia’s Arc. First time I Airbnb’d in a houseboat; won’t be my last. I loved this experience! Julia’s was inviting, comfortable, well appointed. I enjoyed sitting on the upper deck but even sitting inside with the blinds up and the windows open afforded the sounds of the water while enjoying the view of the marina and boats. I wish I had more time here to explore more. This was exactly what I needed for some time alone.

I had a fabulous time staying at The Nellie. Surrounded by the entrancing Gatineau River, The Nellie is an ideal place for those looking for a secluded escape. The Gatineau River essentially creates an archipelago, with countless islands to photograph and explore. Lac-Sainte-Marie is accessible by canoe or kayak, though I would recommend bringing a physical map and compass to avoid getting lost. The Nellie is a perfect option for those who want a unique, rustic experience. Keep in mind, there's no electricity or running water, so plan your meals accordingly. Extremely charming nonetheless. If you are less comfortable with a canoe/kayak I would recommend staying at The Dragon. Transportation to either location is available. I didn't meet Bonnie or Jaques, but I did meet Andrew! He was respectful and punctual, very communicative and easy-going. He's a really solid dude. I will plan my next trip to The Nellie in the near future. I already miss it!

This was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the sunset and sunrise since the entire boat is surrounded by glass. The serene surroundings added to the peaceful ambiance. The tranquility of the location made the perfect getaway. If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing stay with incredible views, we highly recommend.

Mechelle is the best! From beginning to end, she was so very helpful and available. We greatly appreciated all of the in the city happenings and places to visit or eat that Mechelle had sent us ahead of our visit. Very informative! Mechelle walked us through everything we needed, even warned us to pack lightly, as this is a houseboat and the space is limited. However, the views of the river, the live music from the brewery (150 feet away), watching the drawbridge and boats, all were excellent. Oh, I almost forgot, the ability to walk to everything you need, was the best! Mechelle, we will be back to visit and thank you for everything!!!

We loved everything about staying at Dave's Firefly Floating Cabin on Fontana Lake. This was our first experience staying in a boat-accessed, floating house. Everything about the experience was described perfectly in Dave's listing. The accommodations and experience exceeded all expectations! Dave is super-responsive and a great host! We highly recommend the Firefly and hope to stay here again in the future!

The houseboat was the perfect getaway and exactly what we needed for my husbands birthday weekend! Our 6 year old was in Heaven the entire weekend, from fishing to kayaking. There was so much to do and see. The houseboat itself was beautiful and well maintained. We will definitely be coming back again! :)
