Really great stat at Windmill Farm. Our two boys (5 and 3) loved seeing the chickens each morning and having the farm park so close by was great. They could have spent hours in the excellent soft play barn - and we didn't even get round to all the activities available on the farm. Cabin was lovely, and Stacey and Stephen were really helpful. A great place to stay with two young kids!

Sometimes you stay in places that are nice but you think your home is nicer, so it’s all a bit pointless. Well, not this place. The cabin is tastefully decorated, with small touches that have been thought through and considered - like the choice of books (not often you see Jumpa Lahiri in a collection!), the lighting, the comfy bed, the shower, etc. It’s all fabulous. The brook outside is soothing and the surrounding walks are beautiful. I’d love to come back in the autumn, when the leaves are turning and we get to light the wood burner. It’s rare that I get the ‘moving out of London’ fantasies - but this place certainly made me have a few!

We really enjoyed our stay, the pod (pod 2) accommodation was fantastic and fitted our needs as a family of 4, with brilliant views that could be enjoyed from the hot tub. The onsite play park for kids was unexpected but really good and there was plenty of other space for them to play too. We didn't pay attention to which pod we had booked but there are different internal layouts and orientations/locations on the site so something we will be aware of next time we come.

Just as described lovely private airbnb, within driving distance to amenities and restaurants. Peaceful surroundings and great facilities.

Amazing place, great hosts. Had a really nice weekend here. Place is in such a nice location there wasn’t any need to go out anywhere. Loved the stay!

Lovely lodge in serene setting - very very quiet on single track road. Cycle paths very close. Sherwood pines centre close. Great stay with two grandchildren and family called in.

Brilliant place for a re set if thats what your looking for as we were. Outdoor bath was amazing, views beautiful, canin really cute and comfy. Firepit was lovely too. The other 4 cabins are closeby but you do manage to get your privacy. Dont hesitate its fab!!

What an absolutely incredible place to stay. Such a peaceful area and a cool place to stay. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay from all cooking equipment, towels, bedding, games and even hot water bottles. There was some really kind touches even for our little dog. Overall a fantastic place which I would love to return to one day!

Me and my partner had an amazing stay at The Windsor cabin. It had beautiful decor and was incredibly clean. The hot tub was such a highlight as well. Couldn’t recommend here enough. Linda and Hannah were a great help when we had any queries. Will 100% stay here again.

Hands down one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Rod and Victoria have done an amazing job with the cabin and it just ticked all the boxes. You couldn’t ask for a better location sat between the water and the lovely horses behind us. How nice it was to be sat round the fire pit watching the boats go by tucking into some sausages from the BBQ. The little touches really made the place feel like home. The fresh bread and butter. The outstanding marmalade to accompany a nice cup of tea with some milk 😊 and the hot chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows sure did go down a treat with the kids! They provided all the fire wood we needed for the night so we could get the wood burner going which made the cabin feel lovely and toasty. They also gave you some feed for the animals which was such an experience for the kids and they loved it. Super friendly hosts with great communication. Easy and accurate directions to follow. Finding the lodge was easy, but only if you use the post code and directions Rebecca sends. If you use your Sat Nav you will never find the lodge. Rebecca responded quickly to messages and although we didn't meet, I felt she was a lovely host. The area is very quiet and great for walking, either with or without dogs. The lodge was comfortable, clean and a good base for the Derbyshire dales. We would love to stay here again. Thank you Rebecca x.

Een prachtige plek midden in de natuur. Mooi en slim ingerichte woning met werkelijk alles wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben. En leuke verwenelementen, zoals een ruim welkomstpakket aan eten, grote, dikke handdoeken en een supergoed uitgeruste keuken. Julia was er om ons te verwelkomen en weer om ons uit te zwaaien. Tussendoor reageerde ze snel en vriendelijk op een bericht van ons met een vraagje. Zo veel mooie wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt en leuke dorpjes. ALles ziet er extra mooi uit in de lente en toevallig hadden we ook geweldig weer. Zeer aan te raden!

Amazing accommodation- really well maintained and spacious. Also very secure- just what we wanted and needed for our time down in the area. Donna was there to greet us and had milk/water in the fridge and hamper of tea/coffee/biscuits and cereals available. We are already booked for our next trip. Would highly recommend this host/accommodation.

The hut was amazing for our anniversary! Excellent location with stunning views and easy access to lud's church through public footpaths. The hut was well equipped with everything we needed and we were kindly left a huge chocolate roulade with fresh cream to enjoy on arrival which was such a nice touch. It was so peaceful and the setting was perfect with the loudest thing we heard being an owl and the grazing cows. We hope to be back again!

Dee’s place is an absolute hidden gem. The pod is exceptional just like the photos, fully equipped with everything you may need. A lot of thought has gone into the intricate details and little extras that you may require that really made the difference. The location of the pod is breathtaking!! Beautiful, tranquil and peaceful - we were blown away by the views we woke up to each morning. The hot tub was a perfect additional the fragrance of the wood fire added to your experience and was a wonderful treat at the end of your perfect day. Not too far away the local town is a busy, thriving market town with a generous selection of quirky restaurants with many activities if you like to keep busy. Saving the best til last Dee and her family were the perfect hosts, extremely warm, welcoming and friendly, we couldn’t have ask for a more attentive host. We had a truly wonderful experience and will most definitely return again.

We stayed one night at the cabin. It was easy to find, located on a nice peaceful road but within walking distance to a park to walk the dogs and local shops. The cabin was a charming space with all the amenities you could want, tucked away at the bottom of the garden. Comfy bed, nice linen and a quirky little bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay thank you.

A perfect stay. The accommodation was beautiful right on the lakeside with ducks welcoming us. Lovely touches such as fairy lights, Prosecco, chocolates.Alexa.Spotlessly clean with a great shower and comfy bed. The location was perfect for us very private and peaceful and walkable to a pub. We visited Sherwood Forest easily and Idle Valley Nature Reserve. Definitely the best place we have stayed in the U.K. and I have already recommended to others. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

From booking to arrival all went great. Super friendly and helpful host. The cabin was perfect, spacious open plan living/dining, lovely kitchen, fully equipped. Bathroom great size, lovely shower, shampoo/conditioner and body wash attached in dispensers. Bedroom large, the bed was really comfortable as we're the pillows. Loved the hot tub. Nice outside area. it is so peaceful, the surroundings are lovely. Only stayed one night, two people, the lodge sleeps 6 so would be amazing value for money if 4 adults were sharing, with it being just 2 adults the cost was high, nevertheless it was perfect for a well needed break. Will definitely look to book again in the summer. Thank you for a lovely stay! 🥰

Lucas was an amazing host, made us feel right at home. Very welcoming and beautiful place to stay. Was the perfect weekend getaway
