Our peaceful cottage is nestled among the redwoods, a few miles inland from the Mendocino Coast. High ceilings and skylights make this space feel spacious, offering natural light, and views of the majestic trees. The surrounding community is special, with many residents having lived here for decades, tending their homesteads. On your way in, you are likely to see cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens. Deer, coyote, foxes, mountain lions, owls, hawks, vultures, and bears also frequent the area.

Carpenter/Musicians/Local Artist-built cabin with much natural wood & light. 15 minutes to Mendocino "proper"; 5 minutes to Albion harbor; 10 minutes to Navarro State beach; 6 minutes to Navarro Headlands trail. Nearby is excellent dining; art galleries, theater, golf, tennis, spas, kayaking, fishing, nightlife and unique shopping in Mendocino, Little River and Fort Bragg. Stay several days to enjoy it all.

Note: bear, fox, hawks, quail, bats, lizards, banana slugs, bobcat, spiders are part of the forest ecosystem and may occasionally visit the vicinity.

Pacific Gem overlooks the ocean. Two bedroom 2-bath home just a few miles from the quaint town of Mendocino. You will see whales, birds, and incredible sunsets. There is also a separate cottage that can be rented separately or with the house. Found under Albion, CA. "Quaint Ocean Cottage". The 11% county tax is included in the nightly rates. A separate owner Rental Agreement is required. Maximum of 2 dogs allowed with a non-refundable pet fee of $50.00

Your stay at The Roost will put you amidst sunshine and branches. The best of both worlds, we are located just 1.5 miles from the ocean in a sunny redwood grove. Of course Albion is an easy 10 minute drive to Mendocino Village. Bird lovers can enjoy their coffee on the upper deck while taking in the morning chorus. There are windows and skylights in all rooms for maximum enjoyment of the forest.
