Swallows' Rest

Newly completed, Swallows’ Rest lies in the heart of the Lancashire countryside. Originally a stable block on our family run farm, it has been lovingly transformed into a superbly appointed 3-bedroom holiday home. Swallows’ Rest has a modern open plan layout a well-equipped kitchen, relaxing lounge and private garden that overlooks our meadow and stone circle. The spacious bathroom enjoys both a large low-profile shower and full-size bath. Exclusive fishing is available for two rods on our lake.

‘The Shippen’ is our barn conversion, which was once part of a small working dairy farm. High beamed ceilings give a spacious, rustic feel and the double sided log burner makes the living spaces cosy. A ‘home from home’ for our guests, and many return to stay again. Ideally placed to explore Merseyside, Liverpool, Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ at Crosby Beach, the Sefton coastal towns to Southport, Aintree racecourse, Knowsley Safari Park and Aughton, the Michelin Star capital of the North!

The cosy guest suite includes a living room with TV, leather sofa and armchair, small dining table and 2 chairs. There is a compact kitchen area equipped with combination oven/microwave, hob, fridge and all essential crockery and cookware. The bedroom has an oak framed king size bed with matching bedside tables and is furnished with pine furniture, curtains and a blind. The shower room is spacious and is en suite to the bedroom. There is gas central heating and blinds to most of the windows.

Anyone wanting to visit the coast both Blackpool and Southport are within a 30 minute drive and cities like Preston, Manchester and Liverpool are also close by.
